Update on Doctor Who: Of Spacemen and Ponies · 7:37pm Jan 15th, 2014
Alright. Well I have some very good news.
Progress has been steady and when I do publish the story, it should include two chapters. How long the actual story will be is still up in the air right now but it will likely be over 10 chapters long. The first chapter will be a long one, roughly around 8000 words while the second chapter will be half of that. The first chapter will act as a mini adventure as to reintroduce the characters. It will be called "The Sontaran Adaptation." I'll give you three guesses what bad guys make an appearance. Oh, and there's a little surprise awaiting in that chapter as well.
From that point on, the main story will begin and let me tell you this, I'm ready. I hope you're ready for some surprises because they're coming in spades. Now, if you're reading this, there are two things I would like to ask of you. The first is regarding the description. I have written one, but I would like your thoughts on it. Please be honest, a good description can really entice a reader. If you have a better suggestion, don't be afraid to comment.
The Doctor has finally found a planet to call home, but it was in a very unlikely place, a whole other universe. Now, he decides to give the domestic life a go, but how long can such peace last for the oncoming storm?
During a sunny day in Canterlot, an alien spaceship appears above the capital, and a series of events leads to the Doctor facing up against a race he never thought he'd see again. With the clock ticking, he must move fast to save his lover, his friends, and his new home from certain destruction.
What do you think? Again, be honest.
The second is that I have a small project in the works. I say small, when it will likely involve thirteen different writers. The details are sketchy, but I'm attempting to get different writers together for a collaboration project. Each writer will write a story about each Doctor (including the War Doctor and the Twelfth Doctor when he debuts.) What do you think about that idea? I've already had a few people say they were interested in writing for it, but do you think it's a good idea. I'm holding off on it for now, but I really think it's a good idea to get people into the older Doctors more. They tend to be left out a lot.
Till next time my dear readers.

That second gif is kinda creepy...

Hmmm.... A collab where each writer has to write a different doctor? ....Eccelson is serious with a light sense of humour, David Tennant starts off as serious before becoming more light and humorous...then Smith...hes pretty much a clown.
Ive only seen a couple of the old Doctor Who's, the ones with Tom Baker i think....which doctor had the umbrella with the question mark?

Wouldn't his TARDIS by his home? If he has found a place to wind down for a while is it really his home? And further more, is it really "HIS" home?
Last place he'd be expected to settle down at would probably by in a peaceful world of Dalaks or Cybermen.
oh god

If I see Rainbow Dash being his lover, I swear to god, I will jump into the ocean.
Again, would it really be considered to be "HIS" new home?
"a people", I don't think that is grammatically correct.
And, Maybe spoiler alert. is it humans? Since he usually always tried to protect them. Could it be?
1721367 yeah ive seen some of his episodes, they were pretty good! Too bad i cant watch em all though....
1721400 Welp you picked that apart How about this?
The Doctor has finally found a planet to call home, but it was in a very unlikely place, a whole other universe. Now, he decides to give the domestic life a go, but how long can such peace last for the oncoming storm?

Is that any better?
As for the love interest, that is Octavia. (no emoticon for her.)
1721417 Dailymotion pretty much have nearly every old who episode, seriously. Go type in an episode and just put dailymotion, 9/10 it should be there.
1721425 Better, and hurray, I don't need to freeze.
But question, haven't you already written a story where Octavia is the love interest? And it's a Doctor Who crossover too?
And now, because your words finally made me realize that this topic to bring up as a blog post is genius, so I can finally rat-out those buggers.
1721447 This is a continuation from that story. I've talked about it on several blogs and in other stories. Octavia was established as a love interest, and this is a continuation from that story.
1721430 just type in an episode? ITS NOT THAT EASY! give an episode name! Y'know how many results i get? most of em are Tennant! Even though i typed 7th!
1721487 Going to the Doctor who wikipedia page, click serial list and it will give you every episode. If you want advice for a good one, try "the deadly assassin."
1721458 Uh-hu, alright then, proceed
1721521 Would you like to read the first chapter when it's done?
1721495 Doctor who Wikipedia? Been there, no episode list
1721541 Sigh, here you go.
1721549 thanks
1721525 Since I haven't read the first one, I think I'm a bit behind schedule.
1721549 Hey what ever happened to Jenny? i mean, she's never mentioned again after her episode, even though she is the Doctors daughter and a timelord.
1721769 Just disapeared from continuity. Ironically, it was Moffat who created her.
1724319 would make for some pretty interesting fanfiction...maybe involving ponies? oh and we need somepony to be Jenny. Who though?
