Chapter Six of Sweet Treats is confirmed. Rejoice!
I've started writing it today, got somewhere in the region of 500-600 words down, so give it a week or two. Possibly more depending how difficult I find it.
Honestly, there's not enough pictures of Bon Bon just by herself. It's a freaking crime.
Also, I'm curious to see what you all think of the Twibon ship and Bon Bon herself. So I'd like to ask some questions and I'd really appreciate answers and honest feedback. If you don't want to make your answers open on the blog, just PM me instead. They won't affect the story (unless I'm doing really awful in one regard), I'm just curious. So, the questions:
1. What do you think of the TwiBon ship?
2. Where do you rate the Twibon ship in comparison to the other Twilight ships out there?
3. Does Bon Bon feel more three-dimensional than most other fics portray her as?
4. Do you actually like the direction I'm taking Bon Bon in?
5. In comparison to other Bon Bon stories (or more likely, stories with her in them), how do you think my interpretation of the character holds up?
If you could answer these, I'll be super grateful. But at the very least, thanks for reading the story, and I hope I can continue to deliver more Bon Bon goodness.

I like it. It's different and you seem to know what you're doing.

Dunno... Remains to be seen, I suppose? I like it, though.

I haven't read a lot of stories where she's a main character, so I'd say yes.

Similar to most in the sense that she seems level headed, but that's about it. Just keep doing what you're doing

5) Well enough that I continue to love the story that needs more updates so hurry up and write so I can rub it in errybody's faces that I get it a few days ahead of the pack
1. It works very well the way you set the characters up, with just the perfect amount of awkwardness I like. The interaction is slow-paced and all the more believable for it, considering both characters are not exactly extroverted.
2. Difficult to say something about the ship in general 'cause this is the only example of it that I know, and because Twilight has an insane amount of ships. But considering the character "types", it fits in the best category, pairing Twi with Lady-type characters.
3.Definitely better than most. She has more than one reaction, and is presented with skills, worries, opinions, different personal relationships and a backstory I want to find out about, so you're probably doing something right.
4.Yes, see previous answer.
5. She holds up pretty well, I think. She is more likeable and believable than many interpretations (especially those where she is just "Lyra's girlfriend"), which probably all that needs to be said.
To be fair, as part of the prereading/editing staff on this project, I'm somewhat biased in my answers...

It's a new ship that I don't think anyone else has tried, so lots of ground to break here. There will me much Daawww's!

Awkward Twi that doesn't know how to deal with her own feelings or her newfound alicorn status (and relevant appendages), and an equally unsure Bon Bon is going to make for some good times. Said new and unfamiliar appendages might also make things interesting, but still stay well out of "clop" territory.
Aside from Fugue State, yes. Most fics portray Bons as a really strait laced, no-nonsense buzzkill, so yeah. (In Fugue State, she's portrayed as a really grumpy, strait laced, no-nonsense buzzkill.) I will also add that her character in Unbound Skies is also way better than most, SO GET BACK TO WORK!
*cracks whip* (Kidding, obviously, but I do hope there's more coming.)
This take on Bons is pretty different, and I much prefer it. She still clearly has the common sense to worry about and deal with practical issues (having to give up her business in Ponyville in order to take the position in Canterlot, for example), but she expresses a far more playful side than most other fics (her nerd-tastic miniature collection and love of role-playing games.
) I like it a lot because it normalizes her.

1. What do you think of the TwiBon ship?
I think the way you are portraying it is really sweet and cute. Honestly it's almost too safe. I'm not seeing the two of them having all that many problems or complications other than time constraints in respect to their schedules. Equestria is forgiving enough that I doubt Bon Bon or Twilight would get much flak from their dating, save for the occasional noble or guard pony who might not agree.
Having said that, it does leave me wondering where you will take this. I really do enjoy what you've written so far, and always look forward to whenever you update this one.
2. Where do you rate the Twibon ship in comparison to the other Twilight ships out there?
With Bon Bon being somewhat of an introvert in this story, it really makes for a comfortable ship. They share hobbies and each seem to have the mind to take the relationship slow. It is rather unique for sure. Its currently my favorite Background Pony/Twilight ship.
3. Does Bon Bon feel more three-dimensional than most other fics portray her as?
Hmm... yeah, I'd have to say she is definitely more fleshed out than a lot of the others that stick to fan canon aspects of her. In fact the only fanfic I've read that had Bon Bon portrayed more amazing than this one was Mendacity, and for a ship fic, I'd not expect anyone to attempt to meet or beat her character building from that. That aside, I like how you introduce a family member and that certain aspects of her past are brought to light. Then there was the whole mutual panic attack with Twilight on the bed, man that had me rolling.
4. Do you actually like the direction I'm taking Bon Bon in?
I do, I really do. Keep it up please. I know I've already said that this is cute and sweet, but I really am enjoying it that way. You could elaborate a bit more on her chocolatiering if you want, though I don't know if it would truly be relevant to the story at all. I did a bit of work under a Swedish chocolatier once... it was frustrating learning to temper chocolate to her standards... But going into that kind of detail might be too fluffy and irrelevant.
5. In comparison to other Bon Bon stories (or more likely, stories with her in them), how do you think my interpretation of the character holds up?
Well you have the snark, you have ties to Lyra, and you exhibit her Earth Pony side rather well, and you have her candy and chocolates. I think you are holding your own rather well in this department.

It's cute. In this case, it's two adorable nerds awkwardly feeling their way through their first real relationship. It's hard not to make that awesome.

Dunno! Twi is probably my favorite ship-bait. And I love seeing her shipped with everyone. Bon Bon included. But where that stands in the swarm? No idea.

Well, it's certainly nice to see her as something other than a plot device to bounce Lyra's insanity off of. (Yes, I'm as guilty of that as anyone).
But I haven't really read enough Bon(or Lyrabon) fics to really say.
4. Do you actually like the direction I'm taking Bon Bon in?
Like, with the plot? Or the character?
With the plot, sure. You're shipping her with a beautifully awkward Twilacorn. 100% Lum approval rating.
Character-wise? It works for this fic. Dunno if I'm really willing to switch my universal HeadBon to the geeky miniatures-collector.
