I shouldn't bust out the drinks this close to the new year.
That being said, a first look at chapter three of Somepony To Look Out For: There Will Always Be Unforeseen Circumstances (name in the works)
"You summoned us, Princess?" Asked Twilight as the six of them came to a stop in front of Canterlot's twinned thrones.
Celestia nodded gravely. "Indeed, thank you all for coming. A most terrible thing has happened in the Everfree Forest, and we require your services to help prevent a disaster from occurring."
"No sweat. We've beat everything that's come our way," exclaimed Rainbow Dash, pumping her hooves in the air. "What enemy do we have to face?"
"Your mission, my little ponies, is to go to the Everfree and close up a crack in reality. It leads to a terrible forest, one thought lost to time. It's name... Is the Forest of Sleipnirheim."
"Sounds scary," whispered Fluttershy, shrinking back.
"And ominous. A forest within a forest?"
"Like the old tales of a pony getting lost within a tangle and never coming out...." Applejack shuddered.
"Oooh ooh, why don't we just fire a cannon blast into it? Then it'll totally seal up when it gets full of cake! It's a crack, right? So we just gum it up with glue!"
Ignoring the rambling and Pinkie's bouncing, Luna took up the lead of the narrative. "It is imperative that you seal this crack. For if the forces within are to get out, the results could be disastrous."
=====
Three eyes peeked inside inquisitively. "What do you think it is?" inquired Apple Bloom.
"I dunno. It's another forest inside a forest?" stated Sweetie Belle.
"A forest in another forest? How's that even possible? Besides, this forest is inside a giant ZIPPER." Scootaloo prodded the zipper.
"Hey guys whatcha doing?" Whirling, the trio relaxed as Dinky Hooves stood there with a innocent smile on her face. "Wow, cool a second forest full of fruit!"
And with that, Dinky hopped in fearlessly through the crack.
Apple Bloom looked at her friends. And as one proclaimed, "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER FRUIT PICKERS!"
