So yeah, I decided to give you all a preview excerpt of one of the fics I was considering doing a couple blog posts ago.
Hesitantly, the young mare slowly scribbled out some words on the parchment, bathed in a faint golden glow from the effects of the spell as it shimmered in time with the magenta aura that encased her quill.
The sun hung low in Ponyville's sky, unmoving and unchanging, like the sky had become nothing more than a piece of colored parchment.
Twilight turned to the magically projected screen, and her eyes widened in astonishment. As if she was looking outside to her hometown, she saw the streets and houses of Ponyville before her. The bright circle of circle of daylight in the sky had ceased abruptly in its movements, causing all the ponies in the streets, some whom she apperceived, to glance up in perplexity. It was as if a time-stopping spell had been placed into effect on the sky, and it alone.
"Wow..." Twilight couldn't help but be impressed at the effects of the spell. The scenario, unusual as it was, had transpired just as she had written it to occur. As if she controlled the destiny of this alternate Ponyville...
Of course I do, she thought, I'm basically the author of this Ponyville story, so I get to make all the rules! I could basically let Ponyville experience anything if I wanted it to! As that thought echoed in her head, a nagging at her brain began to manifest in her mind, a sense of doubt. Unable to help her intrigue, she continued.
Things started getting stranger when Applejack cried out, finding her hooves suddenly become stiff as stone. They didn't look any different, but it was as if her limbs had become paralyzed. As she looked around, the startled shouts of other ponies around her made it clear that the same was happening to them.
In that moment, the entire town seemed to be blanketed in shadow, though the sky retained its normal daytime appearance. The townsponies whipped their heads around for the source, still mobile, until their eyes finally rest on a creature at the town's center. It was the figure of a pony, but it was composed entirely of shadows, two golden eyes staring out at them. And it laughed, a bone-chilling laugh that resonated deep within their skulls.
A noise jolted Twilight out of her writing as she whipped her head around to gaze at the conjured vision again. Twilight saw the events occurring just as she had scribbled them down. The limbs of ponies freezing in place, their shouts, the fear evident in their eyes as the shadow pony appeared... and that laugh. It wasn't just a laughter that played from the vision like a film, but the laughter was evident in her own head. As if the shadow pony was right there, just out of reach...
The doubt in Twilight's head returned like a tidal wave as she lowered the quill to its stationary placement on the desk, stepping closer to the screen that she could almost swear she'd be able to reach out and touch, more a window than a projection. To think that she had caused it, she had willed it. And that laughter, that terrible laughter that sounded like it was just outside...
"Is that actually happening?" Twilight murmured, eyes wide in shock, the laughter still fading. "Am I causing this to happen? Am I creating it?"
Twilight wasn't sure, but she glanced back and forth from the book to the screen. A mere visualization of her writings? An alternate world she had a hoof in controlling with each flourish of her quill? The thought that these ponies were alive, sentient, that she could let things play out exactly as she wanted...
"I-I'll have to make everything all right for them," Twilight muttered to herself, horn alight once more as the quill levitated beside her. The ink from the quill spelled out the actions of those ponies in the visualization beside its author, making sure that her "characters" got through the situation exactly as she hoped.
It was scary.
It was unnerving.
...It was enthralling.

So far it sounds pretty cool. Twilight the God of Equestria. The reincarnation of Faust.

Take your pick from
Smaug's boast would need to be edited slightly, but is still great.
Frieza's boast is great as well, though I doubt Twilight will be cut in half while she says it.
