As some of you may recall, I recently published a SFW sequel to Heated Discussion, a clopfic which introduced Lightning Dust to the Geoverse as the new mare in Geo and Twilight's relationship. However, the sequel - The Big Reveal - was downvoted to the fiery pits of Hell usually reserved for red-and-black Alicorn OCs.
I've been talking to a few of you on Skype about this, and your opinions differ greatly. Some of you wanted to see the story before I deleted it, whereas the others didn't want it to be canon, saying they are perfectly happy with it just being GeoxTwilight.
You should all be aware by now of the fact that I'm a rather diplomatic person. That said, I've created another poll. The question is simple:
Should GeoxTwilightxLightning Dust be canon in the Geoverse?
Voting ends on January 1st 2014 at 12pm GMT. If the 'Yes' vote wins, I will make Lightning Dust a canon character in the Geoverse. If the 'No' vote wins, Heated Discussion and The Big Reveal (once I've finished adding to it) will be considered part of the 'Alternate Geoverse', in the same way To Learn Is Human (a GeoxCheerilee story) was.
So, please vote, as your decision will have an effect on the series one way or another.

There was a pause before a loud "WHAT?!" came from the lips of everypony except for John, who raised an eyebrow before motioning his head towards Dust and Twilight. I simply pointed at the two mares in question — then grinned wickedly and did a pelvic thrust. The gesture was crude, yes, but it still got the message across. John smirked and gave me a sly nod in return.
See that bit in bold? Writing that inspired me to create the following video (which can be viewed in glorious 1080p):
I dare you to make a story about a red and black Alicorn OC.
I think the reason that it got thumbed down harder than a fiver-dollar hoe is because people want OCs to be true to their actual character. Or because it's your character getting laid by two other characters. I don't know.
Either way, I voted "no". More for your sake than anything else.
