Things like that always happen when I'm away for a week · 8:24pm Dec 27th, 2013

*comes back home. stares at crowd* (yes, 12 followers is a crowd to me)

...Whoaaaa, what are you doing here?

*checks fimfiction*

...What are all these notifications here for?

*Higher Senses, that thing Manes keeps claiming I wrote with him, has been featured for several days and has +600 upvotes and less than 20 downvotes*

*silently turns back, the crowd is watching me, a random guy approaches*

- "We love what you did with that other guy dude, would you mind sharing a bit of your life with us?"

Uh, 'k

First of all, let's get back to the beginning.

Last Saturday, our dearest Manes makes a blog post about a new story idea. He already worked on it a bit, and posted the link to the GDocs for his followers to get a preview.
I click it, and notice that I can also modify the document! Which is wrong. Random people shouldn't be able to edit your work like that, right? So I told him.
Well, not exactly. In fact, I sent him a PM and turned his story into a chat room. I wrote "Hello, I am anonymous" at the bottom of his story, and he replied to it, and I did too, etc. In the end we had almost three or four pages of chat, while there merely was a page and a half of proper storytelling.

So I went like "oh dude look at that, I'm turning your gdocs into a chat room, I didn't mean to disturb you while you were writing"
And he replied "no problem, did you read it btw? How did you find it?"
So I left a few annotations and wrote a bit of dialogue that I thought would fit, without any kind of concern.

And then he left a message.

"Wow this is amazing"
"Hey you know what I think we're doing a collab right now"

I wasn't sure how I should have reacted, but I denied it. "This is all yours, all I did was a bit of editing at best"
So he proposed me to write more.
Aaaand long story short, it ended with me writing the entire dialogue between Luna and Scootaloo. And leaving a few notes on how the story and events should go on to me. I went to sleep at 1AM (GMT) for two days, this Saturday and the following Sunday (logic level: undeniable).

On Monday morning (8AM GMT), I wake up, and before leaving for a week (Christmas with my family, I have a life too omg stop starin at meh) I check fimfiction (well maybe I don't have so much of a life, right) and...

It only took seven hours straight for Manes to publish the story, edited twice, and for the story to get 44 upvotes and reach the featured box.

Welp.

I bid farewell goodbye to Manes, congrats, etc, and leave for a week happily. What could possibly go wrong?

Well guess what. Absolutely nothing went wrong.

While I am typing these words, Higher Senses' current score is 612-11, has 3k views and almost two hundred comments.

I don't know what I should express right now because that's a bit confusing no just kidding I'm feeling so high right now! First time I do something on this website, it's a big score!
Well, that was pretty easy actually. Manes still owns the idea, the concept, half the text, and already had two hundred followers. I'm pretty sure he would have got the same outcome without me.

But anyway, I have to thank everyone here for following me, and especially Manes for not only giving credit to me, but also encouraging all of his followers and all of those guys who read Higher Senses to follow me, too.

Welp.

I don't know why I actually wrote all of this, but I guess I had to shout it somewhere. Or write it, in this case.

Anyway, all this gave me hope and confidence, so I might upload a few things soon.
And by soon, given that I have been preparing things since October, I mean... maybe next year. Probably, even.

So, sorry for bad English, thanks for following me, and stay tuned for more info! Now that I have followers I think I'm going to post things. Not as usually as Manes, but still. Thank you again! :D

tl;dr:lolol thx

(A/N: Yes. I wrote dialogue. Instead of dialog. Twice. And I didn't want to correct it. Twice.
And I still haven't watched the entire season one.
And look! The first serious word of my first blog post is first! :D)

"Dialogue" isn't wrong.

Being a part of that (with my post-release edit) is a bit of a high for me, too. :raritystarry:

1653654 Ha! My dictionary keeps telling me this is wrong. Dem computer thingies.
I'm currently processing all of the comments to the story. These readers have wonderful brains thoughts that will be extremely useful to fill plot holes and find new ideas, and avoid other mistakes.
I really wish I had read more of Luna before writing all this, though. Not that I thought it would be commented so much, but I really think I messed things up. Well, I can only improve it, right?
...right? D:

(oh and thanks for commenting :3)
