It has been almost three months now that I came up with the concept for Red Sky, and realizing that and looking at all the work I and my editors have put into it makes me both proud, but also a little frightened. I'm proud and joyous because my project which I've put my soul into with the story bible and the writing is finally coming together, but I'm also fearful that it won't pay off in the end: Meaning I won't get on EqD, or I won't even get a lot of readers. Don't get me wrong, I love my story, and I write because I like it, but when you put so much time and effort and grab people to help destroy your work to make it better, I can imagine that it'd be nerve wrecking for any author if no one enjoyed it.
Even though Red Sky isn't up on the site yet, I'd like to thank all of my pre-readers who have helped me so far so much. I've had a lot of them during this project that surprisingly only has about 10k words, but those 10k words have been a lot to fix up. My proofreaders are not only the people that help me edit my story, they're also my friends, and they're also my teachers. Sometimes it feels like Lucefudu (Who is the most active of my pre-readers) is like a director for a movie that I wrote the script for. I show him the scene and he seems to be able to look at it and say 'this character needs to be doing this, it reads better' (Or for analogy's sake 'looks' better) And even though he means to edit for me and make the story look better he also teaches me a lot, and for that I'm very thankful. Though others like Kayeka I couldn't get far without either.
To you NEW pre-readers on my team, I say welcome! And this project is just as much as yours as it is mine, and I hope you enjoy working on it.
For you followers who have been 'this guy has been doing nothing the past few months' I say SOON! Probably Monday depending on if I can kink out everything that needs to be kinked out. That's also the day that's best to submit apparently.
What can I say? I'm gay for you, MrMusical.
