I know I already announced my Derpy Christmas story, but I have an announcement to make about the development of my Rainbow Dash story. At first I wanted this to be a trilogy set in a post apocalyptic Ponyville with a sort of 'Walking Dead' style storyline, but i instead have a better idea. I decided to make it a war epic revolving around a human fictionalized OC, Rainbow Dash, Braeburn, Shinning Armor, and Flash Sentry as soldiers and was stricken citizens trying to survive. Sort of a Saving Private Ryan/Grave of the Fireflies mashup with, lets face it, humanized ponies. I wanna make this, not only a fanfiction, but since I recently dropped out of college, I wanna make this my very first official story to be published professionally.
To all of you who made Lost Highway famous, here is a little rundown of what your gonna be seeing on the new year.
The story will take place in World War II during three different storylines:
Braeburn is a soldier who witnesses the bombing of Pearl Harbor first hand and tries to fight back on board the USS Oklahoma.
Shinning Armor and Flash Sentry are 2 brothers deployed on Omaha during Operation Overlord, aka the Normandy landings.
And O.C. is a Jewish resident in Warsaw who breaks free from Poland with the help of an american teen portrayed by Rainbow Dash.
It may not seem like it, but I'm a huge history buff, and ended with a 4.0 in history in high school before graduating, and always wanted to write a war story with 3 different story arcs and 3 different storylines. I promise this will be the most epic story I will ever write in my life. I am really excited to write it, and I hope its as good as Lost Highway, if not better.
