You know how, when a cartoon character has to make an ethical choice, an angel and devil will appear on his shoulders and try to sway his decision?
Well, what if this happened to a cartoon brony?
Would Celestia and Chrysalis appear on his shoulders? Twilight and Trixie? Rainbow and Gilda? Would there be different characters, depending on the person or the type of decision it was?
Tell me, good readers, who would appear on your shoulders, and why?
It depends entirely on whom you ask and what you read.
For me, it'd be a white pegasus and black batpony, whereas my sister (WHO IS NOT A BRONY, mind you) would have a white faerie and black imp. The white pegasus is my good side and the the black batpony is the bad side, to put it simply. Same goes for my sister's faerie and imp.
It just depends, really.
That's hard to say. I think Celestia would be a good choice for good, but I don't think the show has given us a really solid "big bad" for evil. The PowerPuff Girls at least had Him.
Then again, maybe it depends on who you're talking about. The CMC might see Cheerilee on one shoulder and Diamond Tiara & Silver Spoon on the other.
Considering the massive amount of horsefuckers, it'd be Chryssie and Celestia.
Twilight and Discord
Order and Chaos
Studying for Finals and Browsing Tumblr until I Passout
Effort and Laziness
Selfless and Shellfish
Controlled Anger and Sadistic Revenge
Really those two represent my inner power struggle more than I feel comfortable with.
Applejack and Dashie
I think Nightmare Moon would be only fitting in the role of the devil, since she successfully tempted Luna into a fall from grace - a most proper choice, indeed. As a counterpart, I'd suggest Celestia - she's the poster image of calm serenity, reason and empathy (though I'm afraid I'm slowly slipping into headcanon territory, since we don't know much about Celestia at all). Also, she was the main enemy of NMM, so they would be good as advisors.
Unrelated, but in a fic of mine I had Rarity facing a similar choice. I had the butterfly-winged version of her and a white pegasus-winged version with a halo appear as the representer of selfishness and selflessness for her, respectively.
Luna and Nightmare Moon. Because of course, they are the same pony, Thus symbolizing that we have both a good and a dark inside of us, and what matter is that we choose correctly between them, day in and day out.
My takes on Ditzy Doo and King Sombra. One is basically what I want to be (aside from being a female pegaus,) the other is ruthlessly pragmatic and goal-oriented. My most common choice is between doing what's right and doing what I want... and depending on the topic, the ponies may switch sides.
hmm... thats a tuff one, first of all sins my moral compas sometimes gets messed up on certain things, like if I should beat up that Nazi just because I really hate them, of which I only see a beat down as a good thing, no matter how misslead they are, heck, I'd not even have good/bad side argument sins both side would say 'break that f%&ker'
Apart from that, Fluttershy as obvious good and... Discord I guess, not really bad, just not really caring about the suffering he cause to others.
My shoulderponies would be Horizon and Horizon, because my sense of morality wouldn't be able to resist the recursion.
Trollestia and Canonlestia.
Pinkie and Pinkamena.
It depends on what you want to achieve, is it comedic or dark?
Seeing that you have chosen cartoon brony, I would imagine that you want a some comic relief, so I would say Celestia and Discord. One would be lawful and kind, while the other is chaotic and cruel to others, so I imagine that this combination is fitting

Surely, we can do better then that, my friend. Why not Celestia and the infamous Molestia? One side is pure and untainted, full of goodness and virtue; while the other is twisted and perverted, born by dark thoughts and temptation that is the sheer representation of how carried away the brony community can be, when you consider her namesake and popularity at the very least least.
Besides, what better way to represent ethical choices of the everyday brony by having any canonical character, which is innocent in nature for a little girls show (well, the good characters, anyway), with that of a fanonical representation of the same character, as it shows what lustful temptations that lingers in the mind to ruin the very integrity of the show to fulfill one's own selfish needs?
Nicholas Cage and Lady Gaga.
Nothing said they had to be ponies.
