Preparing a new fanfic series: A FIM adaptation of Thomas & Friends/The Railway Series

Since I was a kid, I was very fond of trains, especially the modern ones. As a New Yorker, Metro-North Railroad and Long Island Rail Road were options for me to explore and railfan, but I prefer Metro-North for the excitement and unpredictability.

If you want to see two of my Metro-North railfan videos, you can view them in my blog.

"Pot o' Gold": Thanks for Reading!

I looked at my page and noticed a huge amount of tracking/favoriting for my Twilight/Derpy multi-chaptered story Pot o' Gold. I thank everyone there for reading it and tracking/favoriting it. :D While it hasn't gotten any reviews (on here, I have one from my friend, SamCyberCat, on fanfiction.net, so thank you for that), that's okay. Reviews will come with time. ^^

Part of my passion for trains (and nostalgia) is in the form of Thomas & Friends, a series I'm very attached to. It's an adaptation of the long-running Railway Series, authored by the late Rev. W. Awdry and later Christopher Awdry (his son). Since 1945, forty-two books combined to create the long-standing, lovable series. Thomas & Friends, in turn, became popular itself via Britt Allcroft and her production team.

In 2004, HiT Entertainment bought the TV rights, and the series underwent major downs for almost ten years. Series 17 brought several huge changes to both the writing style and writing team (Sharon Miller and her staff replaced with Andrew Brenner and a slew of other writers like Paul Larson and Davey Moore). Starting this season, there's been a lot of fantastic writing attracting fans young and old again, including transparent jabs at the old team early in King of the Railway.

Currently, I'm in the middle of developing summaries and worldbuilding for the series, rebooting the series from scratch and developing it my way while keeping the canon intact.

The title of the series: The Equestrian Series.

At this point, I'm preparing a series of chapters within specific books similar to what the Awdry Estate did for TRS. Usually, TRS uses four chapters per book, with only one expanding to five on permission.

You can read some of my early ideas in my MLP Forums blog here.

As for the plot summary of the first four chapters of the first book, you can check it out in my blog here.

The Equestrian Series Volume 1: James Gets Mad :rainbowwild:

Anyway, keeping my eye out for this. FimFiction could always use more passionate writers.
