100 followers! (and more news) · 6:46pm Dec 15th, 2013
I really, really want to thank you all. Today marks 100 followers for Broken Bonds! It's a wonderful feeling and I cannot express just how much you all mean to me!
I'm sorry that my rewrites are taking forever and that new chapters have slowed down, I'm sorry that you've all had to put up with the god awful start and rough journey, but somehow you made it and somehow you've given me your trust, and I can't thank you all enough for that.
I wish I could tell you that things are going to suddenly improve to the level of quality and quantity you deserve, especially after giving this to me. All I can say is I'll try and again, thank you all.
While on the topic of rewrites, I'm somewhere around 8k into the chapter 3 rewrite but after some discussions, I'm yet again unsure on a certain element of the chapter (in particular, how S.A.T.S are handled/explained/work) and so I think I'm going to go back and rewrite that specific bit. I had planned to be a lot further by now, but work and Christmas is horribly time consuming and stressful (I work in retail... supermarkets are fun during Christmas! ...not.)
So yes, I'll do what I can as soon as I can, I promise I won't leave you hanging forever.
Much love to everyone <3
It's a good story, and your making it better. I can wait for it . The basic premise of S.A.T.S. is that it speeds up your brain functions be such an enormous degree that time seems to slow stop. It's handled through your thoughts in the Pipbuck, it's generally described as thinking or willing it to happen. If you want more details message me and I'll describe it in more detail if you want.
Congrats man!

Yeah, that's the conclusion we all came to when I spoke to others in detail about it. In my current version of writings, although it doesn't entirely stop time, it "slows" it down enough that it gives you enough time to focus your aim - but then someone pointed out that in the original, Littlepip often fired off SATS guided shots and it made me question whether I should keep any of that sped up perception or just take it like an auto-aim function.
The only other route I can do and keep with the original is that I stick with what I have for the most part, but say that instead of letting you decide on things, it just lets you focus on how you're about to shoot and guides your aim rather than just giving you a moments focus.
So with that said, I probably won't have to change it up too much, just a small detail.
Also, thank you! Again, I really can't tell you how much things like that mean to me when I hear it. Helps with the continual confidence issues and such, hah.

Thanks again! Wouldn't have got there without everyone.
