...Twilight said they were "in way over their heads." Because the Nightmare's return, Discord's reign, the changeling invasion, Sombra's return and the expansion of Everfree were cakewalks.
But no, it does look like my theory about a more action-packed fourth season bore some fruit. And I am LOVING IT. It was awesome to see an actual Daring Do adventure (not spoiler-tagging that because LOOK AT THE EPISODE TITLE), and I am STOKED for the one scheduled to hit in two weeks because anyone who knows me can attest to my severe Marvel fanboyism. Speaking of, Twilight and Rainbow having their fangirl-off was awesome to watch because that ABSOLUTELY happens to me when I'm talking to a friend about something we like and the other friends are completely lost.
We've got a good one ahead of us, I can feel it.
Yeah. I can figure that this is the best season of the series yet.
Power Ponies is going to be mind blowing.

Only thing that bugged me about this episode was the part where the mane six were staring in awe at Daring Do while she was clearly being attacked by a group of thugs. Did "Oh, maybe we should help her out" ever go through any of their heads at any point? Good episode otherwise, although now I can REALLY hear the Dash/Daring shipfics being typed up as we speak.
There's going to be dumb fucking clopfics with Maneiac, but it's still gonna be an awesome episode. I thought the fight scenes were pretty awesome, and the fact that certain characters are real characters now is equally so. Sadly, I thought Daring is a very flat, empty character.
