I've decided that I'm lowering the tag on Innocent from Mature to Teen. This is for three reasons. First, I believe I may have over estimated the content I'm posting and feel that a teen audience can handle it. Second, I have noticed that many other stories around this site have similar, and in some cases, worse displays of gore and violence than mine will. The third, I will admit, is a little selfish but it is a contributing factor nonetheless. The Mature tag might be depriving me of a significant number of views. This makes me unhappy, and that's counter-productive to the writing process and its intended result. By lowering the tag, I intend to pull in more views, make my story consistent with the ratings of its peers, and acknowledge that not only was my estimate of my story's content overshot but also that the maturity level of the readers on this site is better than I had originally given credit.
