I guess I should discuss season 4 about now. · 1:22am Dec 3rd, 2013
Woke up early Saturday morning. Although I knew what was happening, it seemed like it was too good to be true. It was finally happening again. I sat in my chair with an ear to ear grin, anticipating the beginning of this season. Then the episode started. It was amazing seeing new footage. The animation looked just as beautiful, if not even more beautiful, than before. The familiar characters that I've gotten to know and love were all there. Everything was perfect. But, I still did not know how the writing was. So, I sat and watched both episodes and after they finished I smiled, closed my eyes and thought, "This is going to be a great season."
I waited, impatiently, for the next Saturday to come by. I paced at times, I avoided any pony based websites, aside from Fimfiction and EQD, to keep spoilers away. Then Saturday had come again. I, again, sat in my chair with anticipation. The episode began and the first thing I noticed was a name in the credits. Written by Josh Haber. I then became slightly nervous. This was a new writer. Last weeks episodes were obviously going to be good, as they were written by Meghan McCarthy, but this was a new writer! There was no telling how this would go. I sat and watched the episode. I was happy to see that the box was still a concern for Twilight. I was afraid that it would have been just shoved to the side until the story called for it. So, it started well enough. Then things started getting different. I noticed the way the episode was set up was not in a typical Friendship is Magic style. I kept watching the episode until that sad time that it ended. To sum up my feelings for this episode I will say one thing. I cannot wait for the next episode written by Josh Haber.
Season 4 seems to be in great hands. They did a great job hiring new writers and they're doing a great job keeping things fresh and interesting. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this terrific show!
I fully agree. I'm lovin this and can't wait to see more.
