New Story: To Make a Spark

I have a new story out, which went up on Equestria Daily while I was at work and has just been published here. To Make a Spark is my take on how Cadence became an alicorn, and I can honestly say that it represents the most time I've spent on a single story, ever. Considering the whole thing is under 5000 words, that's saying something.

There's actually quite a bit I want to say about how and why this story came to be, but I'll save that for another blog post (probably within the next few days--stay tuned if you're interested in that sort of thing). Well, I blew it right out of the water in absolute terms. That was my "most time on a word-by-word basis" record holder, though, and I'm pretty sure it still is.

Well, depending on how one counts the time invested in versions of a story that were completely scrapped, that is.
