I Got 99 Fanfics But Mine Ain't One

Is there a way to hide notifications? · 12:33am Apr 30th, 2012

I know you can filter them on the notifications page itself, but can you permanently deactivate specific kinds of notifications? I'd rather be notified about something important, like when someone replies to a comment of mine or someone posts a new blog entry, rather than when a new story is added to a group or when a new chapter is added.
