A few things before deer season. · 3:42pm Nov 13th, 2013
Hey all. I don't really know what has happened to me, but for the last couple weeks I have actually been working on my fics. So I guess I'm back? Well, at any rate, don't expect ch 4 of The Replacements until I get back from up north in twoish weeks. I am, however, doing everything in my power to give you guys a one shot before I go. I leave Sunday, so keep your fingers crossed I can pull this off.
I haven't decided if I should give a spoiler yet or not, but I will say it is going to be beeutiful.
Oh cool!
A new fic and an update? Hell yes!
Also, welcome back to the world of writing. I think.

The curse of the inactives is what this is. It happens to everyone.
If you don't bring back whatever you shot, and it must be a stag, then skin, gut it, and cook the meat and eat it, then I'll never forgive you.
Kill for food, not for just sport.
And before someone says 'Go hunting yourself' I do a spot of hunting every second weekend and usually bring home some beautiful venison.
Anyway, kill for food, and good luck.

I don't get it. Why do people think it's ok to kill someone as long as they make sure to eat them?

Because that's nature. Predators hunt and kill only to eat, such as lions and bears and such (unless it's a dispute over territory or sex). So it's only natural for humans, who are also natural predators, to hunt to eat.
Of course the ability to turn to veges only is there, but it's like turning all the water in the ocean into fresh water. It might be possible with small amounts with lots of work, but the whole lot? Fat chance.

I don't see why it being natural justifies it. But, it's your sense of morals, not mine. You can believe what you want, of course.
Are you saying that it would be nigh-impossible to have everyone stop eating meat? Meat is generally more expensive than plants and puts more strain on the environment than eating plants does, since animals need to be fed large amounts of plants in order to produce a smaller amount of meat.

Yes, from a logical point of view it would be wise. However, the vast populace tend to ignore the logical perspective if it interferes with how they've lived their life styles from the day they were born.
Many countries even support eating meat religiously, and we all know that simply removing or changing a religion, without an extreme amount of support, is impossible.
I'm not saying it's wrong or the facts are false, just that convincing the number of people who eat meat as their very life blood (pun not intended) to change just isn't possible.

Do you mean literally religiously? I've only heard of religions being against consumption of meat.
But yes, it seems the bulk of the world's population will continue eating meat for some time (and probably eat more and more of it, given people are getting wealthy and thus more about to afford meat).
