SO! The first of two one shots are done! It was a LOT longer than I had imagined it would be when I started. About double the length. I gotta say though I'm pretty happy with it. I'm gonna be sending it in for editing soon to my buddy Solidfire.
That being said, I've been hit with another insomnia spell, and the only thing I can think of is to keep going, so I guess I'm gonna be pulling a late night on the second one shot tonight! Should be fun actually.
Now for those of you who bother actually reading this and plan on reading the one shot I just finished, I should explain before the stories are released, that I enjoy to write Rainbow Dash a lot more mature than she has been in the show, much like how I would believe she would be if given a few years to learn and search herself. As such, she will not be spouting any catch phrases, and will take things a bit more seriously, especially since the first fic has a more serious tone. It's still Rainbow Dash, but more of the Dash we saw in Over A Barrel, where she will get serious about what she believes in.
I'm hoping I can get this second fic done soon, the original plan was by the fifteenth but if that doesn't happen I hope to finish before Thanksgiving and take a slight break for the holidays. During this break I'll be trying to clear out my Read Later folder, and working on some of my own personal writing among family time, and meeting up with friends on their break (Get some good ol' Dungeons and Dragons going).
Anyway, instead of just talking about it, I should simply get back to work. Hope you enjoy.
Oh, and I've rediscovered my love for Blue Oyster Cult. Seriously, these guys are gods.

totally agree with you on that, mature Rainbow Dash is best Dash, I think one of the best examples of this bar yours and Ruiriks is royalrainbow's Dash ship fic, his sequel got into the featured yesterday you might want to go take a look if you wish of course
