Still working on #6. Honest! · 7:56pm Apr 26th, 2012
You know, it's not that I enjoy procrastinating, but it is more or less my natural state. It got in the way while writing my previous chapter, and it certainly gets in the way now.
Chapter 6 is going to be fairly big. Not in the sense of wordcount, but in the sense that I will now have to make choices on where I want to go with my story, get started on finishing the current subplot, flesh out the main characters, foreshadow the way the story might end, that kind of thing. And I have to somehow do all that while being funny. It's a pretty delicate balance, taking a godawful lot of work to preserve, but I think I'm starting to get there little by little. It will probably hit the pre-readers somewhere this weekend. So rest assured: I am, in fact, still working on it.
So yeah, that was more or less the main event of this blog. In other news: Letedwend helped me clean up the first two chapters a lot, and started work on editing the third. While the actual content hasn't changed, it looks a lot better. Some of the mistakes he pointed out were bloody embarrassing, however, so if you are reading this: you have been a long-time reader of Dude, We're Ponies, and you've somehow failed to notify me of these atrocities I've committed against good writing. I will find out where you live and smack you over the head. [/kidding]
In other other news, the combined view total of all chapter has reached 9007, so allow me to get something out of my system.
Chance: Midnight, what does the counter say about our viewer level?
Midnight: It's over NINE-THOUSAAAAAND (smashes counter)
Chance: What? 9000? There's no way that can be right, caaaan iiiit?
Midnight: Yeah, who the fuck would want to read about us?
I probably should have finished that one with a pun on my username, but whatever. Thank you, stay strong, we'll be back.
yay, more Dudes!
Huh, and I thought I pointed out the major (And minor) errors and inconsistencies of your chapters. It seems that Letedwend is more knowledgeable than me.
Eh, I'm 16, not a English or literature major; I'm not amazing, but I'm not bad either. Still, I'm available for editing. Good luck with your big chapter!
If the end result is high quality writing, I'm more than happy to wait another week or so.
My to-read list is plenty long enough to keep me occupied anyway...
