Two cents on Uncle Grandpa and Steven Universe. · 4:30pm Nov 10th, 2013
Hello, I'm Storiesatrandom, I'd remembered so you don't have to, and My god, have i been absint! I mean, aside from my involvement with Club "We Love Celestia" (Real Name, Protact Celestia) and i been involved in some very intelligent conversations.... Though when i was ranting about the Anti-Celestia trash in the world, it was deleted cause it was, atad to vulger. So, with that and other things that went on in my life, my reviews and other things are and were more or less in a standstill, and i apologise for that.... If even though no one actselly comments on these things.... I feel so alone.
Anyway, like what the title said, I am gonna talk about the latest cartoon network shows, "Uncle Grandpa"
and "Steven Universe".
and honestly, if i thought the other crud cartoon network was showing is absord and random in an unenjoyable way, CLEARLY this is the cru-de-ta of Cartoon Network's further fall fro graces.
At least shows like Regular Show and Adventure Time i can more-or-less forgive, at least compaire to these. I mean, it's bad enough not only Cartoon Network is basicly forgetting the great shows, and the closest we got to one of them coming back is THIS ABOMINATION
But now, we got a show about this weird Patrick the Seastar Imitator and his friends, a sentient slice of pizza,
a Godzilla rip-off and, i shit you not, a live-action Tiger.
Funny, Draw togather had a live action Cow and that ended badly.
And, we got Steven Universe. Appearently, it's about this dumbass kid who pals with these, super-nateral, women who are like magical versons of Charlies Angels, but the designs are, well, not easy on the eyes.
Both of these shows are rediculious, and not good rediculious, it's the unacceptable kind. What's worse, Cartoon Network as a fixsation on Uncle Grandpa, like they hoped this is gonna send them on the right track....
YOUR MOTHER FUCKING WRONG?!
Remember my Editatorial on Cartoon Network is becoming more modern then wacky? Well, now it's becoming too modern, and just plain awful for our standerds.
Uncle Grandpa is about the random idiotic adventures this sad weirdo goes through with his crud designed friends and just be, all around confusing, non-sensical, and, in alot of cases, obnoxious?! And then there's the not any better Steven Universe. Frankly, from what i saw from the episode about, i giant fucking eyeball monster, that Steven is the sun of a fallen heroine and that the gem is stuck in his freaking belly button and he's stuck endanhgering his life with these mutant bimbos! Child endangerment and heroes do not make. Both of these shows are just making Cartoon Network's already controverseal reputation worse, it's bad enough your stop being good, now your just being beyond barely forgiveable. comapired to these shows, The Teen Titans Go show is actsellly good, AND I SAID ALOT OF BAD THINGS ABOUT THAT SHOW?!
Cartoon Network, stop doing this to yourself, and go back to the shows that made you good to begin with, before you end up being deemed so awful, the media will take you off the air, and then Channel 32 will just become another cooking channel?!
For the love of your barely existing fans, please stop taking the drug that is idiotic cartoons and go back to what made you great?!
........ (Sigh).....
I'm Storiesatrandom, and pray for Cartoon Network people, pray........
While I couldn't agree you more on your observation of Uncle Grandpa, which I can't even fathom got okayed, I have to disagree with Steven Universe. I've seen a few episodes so far and really like the writing, characters, animation, and so forth. It's filling the role that Symbiotic Titan left behind for me by giving me a Power Ranger fix that actually has more complexity then, well, your average Power Ranger's plot. If that makes any sense.
1680168 Well, it's just that, to me, it's confusing to an unexceptable level why these clearly powerful women allowed an under exspearienced boy fight against sinister supernatetol forces other then the whole "training him" thing. If he's a trainee, then I just don't think he's THAT ready to fight the crazy shit they're up against.
1683667 And they typically don't want him fighting those things. Well at least Pearl doesn't- Amethyst does support him joining them and Garnet is just unreadable. From what I have seen from the show they don't go dragging Steven with them on their really dangerous missions. In fact I haven't really seen them drag him off on any mission that wasn't finding something or such. Usually Steven's adventures are caused by his own mistakes or he gets caught up in a threat that already is effecting his home, like the Red Eye event you mentioned in the blog. He never is really taken if fighting is expected and so on.
1683913 Hmm.... Interesting statement..... I respect your opition. Maybe Steven Universe has more good quilites then I ma giving it credit for, it's just that, I'm just so unsatisfived Cartoon Network is no longer what is was during the late 90s. It's just that, compiared to great classics like Dexter's Lab and Cow and Chicken, the modern shows either don't leave that great a taste, or are just down right awful.
1683929 I know how you feel, though I have feels for a few later works. Cow and Chicken, Dexter's Lab, Samurai Jack, Powerpuff Girls- I grew up on this stuff and loved it, along with so many more. Billy and Mandy, Foster's, and Code-name Kids Next Door.
These shows were great and I do feel like a lot of them were robbed from us before their time (Jack needed a final confrontation with Aku) and that sucks. However we can't hate everything new that comes out. I know more than anyone- I have often ranted at my friends that it started with Spongbob (which I like but I can't help but feel like every show tried to copy it afterwards) which led to crap like Chowder and Flapjack. Yet new things aren't inherently bad. FiM is a sign of this and I happen to think Adventure Time has gained merits after being on long enough that it's own brand of craziness actually turned into a deep plot. No denying it- I love the Lich from Adventure Time. So creepy.
1684180 Hmm........ This is interesting to learn about. And yes, it's sad Samerai Jack ended before it had the chance to truely finish PROPERLY with the last showdown of Aku.
