I am not physically capable of writing fast enough. If I didn't have a job and kids and a house to keep in order I still don't think I'd be capable of writing physically fast enough. This is what happens when you're a writer and you barely get to write for two years. (Wonder if this happens to ponies when they are deprived of the ability to do whatever it is their cutie mark is about for too long, and then they get it back.)
So at this point, having binged on nearly every fanfic featuring Discord on this site and two others, I've decided that there are a bunch of story ideas I simply can't fit into the Discord as Q framework I'm using for most of the ones I've posted. Mostly a bunch of AUs that totally don't work if Discord isn't actually a living creature of Equestria but an energy being from another realm. So I have to come up with a series name for the ones with the Q Continuum (that avoids using the term DisQord because, seriously, that has been done like nine times now, and besides I've been writing Q for 20 years and doing my best to avoid stupid Q puns the whole time), so I can mark them all as belonging together, because the others are all over the place and more just keep showing up:
- Stumble In My Footsteps is the first one I've posted. It looks very much AU but technically it might not actually be; it might be something that hasn't happened yet. Nobody's commented so I have no idea if it's totally obvious what I'm doing or not.
- The Chaos Engine is hurt/comfort, Discord & Fluttershy friendship, AU to Keep Calm and Flutter On because something else happened first, and is probably one of the cruelest h/c scenarios I've written in my time, which given my record, says quite a lot.
- The God Of Breaking Rules In The Land of the Dead is a myth which may or may not bear any resemblance to anything that actually happened. It is possible I will end it with a frame in which it turns out Twilight was reading it to reformed Discord to ask him if that's what really happened, which he won't give her a straight answer to.
- the Madeleine L'Engle crossover. Because Gaudior is an alicorn, Camazotz is Order as Evil, and that which sings the song that conflicts with the harmony is, still, a singer of the song, and an ally against that which silences the song. And Discord, Luna and Pinkie Pie versus a possessed Twilight Sparkle and Celestia is an awesome idea. Also because my nine year old wants me to do it.
- the origin story that I might use as backstory to some of the others in which I mangle several tropes I keep seeing over and over into a new shape.
I have God of Breaking Rules fully plotted in scene by scene breakdown, Chaos Engine plotted broadly with most of the stuff that happens, Stumble in My Footsteps I have no idea what happens after the second confrontation with Eris doesn't go the way they expect because she's seen this movie before, and the other things I just have vague ideas for now.
This is on top of the Q stories:
- Negotiating Terms, where Discord and Celestia have a tense confrontation over why she wanted to reform him and how this is going to go now that he's reformed
- The Tale of the Terrible Doctor Twilight, which is referenced in King Who Would Be Man
- Hit Me, where Discord tells Twilight to hit him and she does not respond with the expected eager delight
- plus the whole subseries My Perfect Enemy about the thousand years that Discord and Celestia spent breaking each other's hearts for reasons that made sense at the time, which contains within it the story of Silver Eyes, referenced in King Who Would Be Man and Princess and Dragon
- plus I have to finish The King Who Would Be Man
I cannot write fast enough.
I feel like that guy who was punished for torturing a Muse in the comic Sandman...
I know exactly how you feel, but minus the kids. So that frees up quite a bit of free time.

I copied your notes on discord to reflect on for my own story when I get to it soon enough. Because a berserk/spawn inspired discord, a diablo inspired Shining, and a Full metal alchemist/assassins creed Discord just needs to be done. And all the other ideas I have for it.

1492298 I don't plan on publishing it until at least a third of it is done and the ending is nailed out. I have several prereaders and organizes planned. Since, you know, it isn't a comedy. It's something in which while there will certainly be snappy dialogue on the roads traveled, still involves demons/things getting disemboweled.
