I'm still here · 10:39am Nov 4th, 2013
Well, it's a holiday and probably a good day to make a blog post.
First of all, hey, I'm still here and reading stories.
Second, I've got a job that takes all my skills and makes me combine them.
Third, I'm learning drawing (Betty Edwards lessons).
Not much to say about first point. * shrug *
Still taking my time to practice throwing words at the wall to see what sticks. Sometimes results are not horrible.
And still not worth posting.
Second. Job.
Job is great. It's really fun to talk to people all day long, solve their PC problems and explain how to fix it by themselves.
I point out what they might learn and how that would help them work.
I find bugs in software and report them to developer.
And I smile all day long.
Breathe in, breathe out. I am happy to serve. Smile and walk in.
Third. Drawing.
I am HORRIBLE at it. More than worst possible result is that I fail at every possible step. Including time limit.
Lesson number two takes 1 hour.
It takes me more than 4 days to actually do it. Sometimes I do half-hour sessions of it twice a day.
It's really tiring, but I perfectly understand people that can't understand something completely new for them.
"What is THAT?"
"How do I look at it?"
"Where do I look?"
"What do I DO?"
Basically, with any new activity there is a fear of unknown. A fear of failure.
And many people see PCs for the first time in their lives or only had some minor interactions with this device.
But I'll say it like this: Difficulties make life interesting.
Because I love to solve hard puzzles. Not just the puzzle games that have one and only one correct solution and you need to combine correct moves to have it. No, those are... Boring?
I like problems that can have multiple solutions and multiple results that vary based on solutions used (yes, some tasks may have more than one solution used simultaneously).
Well, what can I say? Life is fun.
And Reality is really scary for the first few months.
