New story, and reminder of Winds of Change. · 7:41pm Nov 2nd, 2013
I have come up with the final dates for my stories, the first of which, non WOC, will be released tomorrow. I will post the description below in a moment, but I accidentally posted this early.
Here's the description, and though it may change the general idea still remains the same.
"They said when they killed the king of the Griffin Empire, that things would be better, that there would be more food to go around, that the people themselves would have a say in politics. But that never happened. The new 'democratic' government started passing laws, small things first. No concealed weapons, no staying out on the street after one without good reason. The citizens were all happy to give up some of their freedom for a larger say. But they never got their half of the bargain, they were forced to watch as the government transformed into an ironic sham of its hopes. Then again, never once did any of the council members miss a chance to say that they were only acting in the interest of the people. But for two griffins, actually trying to escape may not be the easiest option. In fact, it'll probably be one of the hardest ones out there."
The WOC story is still on schedule for next sunday, and I should hopefully have enough done by then to release. There will be a lot to write though. So hopefully people are still interested.
Always interested!
Looking forward to that new story tomorrow mate, should be interesting. I haven't really had much time to read recently so it will be good to have something new![](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png)
I don't think you need to worry about the WoC story as it is, it's pretty long, meaning that people that have put time in to reading it will want to finish reading it, assuming that you finish writing it. Still should worry about this new story though WoC set a high bar to pass, so people may be a little disappointed by it, but try to not be discouraged by that.
So Celestias rule of the Griffon Empire isn't as she promised it was going to be? Wonder what Jason would be thinking if he heard of this?
Intresting.
Proceed.

No, it's a separate storyline, nothing to do with the Winds of Change

Well the part about the griffin king being killed and a new government taking over made sound like its from WoC.

Yeah, the story actually came from my old idea of Eravel's backstory, so there are a few parallels.

Is there a reason why its not part of the WoC universe?

The short version is that I wanted to make something different, partially to attract new people to an idea that was only partially compatible, but also to prove that I could make something new.
