well, that was interesting.

So, the rite is finally over. I probably won't do anything more on it unless I get reeeeeally bored. I can't say I didn't enjoy writing it. However, the results it got were pretty underwhelming. I did this as an experiment to see if I could write real fiction well at all, and the test results seem to say, "not bad" is the answer. The response from my friends was "oh wow, that was really good! You're really good at this!" but when I put it up for anonymous review, the response was a solid meh from you guys.

So... I probably won't do another real fic for a while. If I do, there is a good chance it will be mostly OCs, due to how I seem to be incapable of writing in character. Until then, I will return to my homeland- trollfiction. Like a Nord returning to Skyrim from a long trip in Cyrodil, this little test has given me new appreciation for the art or poor writing. That, and I recently rewatched "The Room." Oh, how I wish I could still post trollfics here. I don't really have any other way to spread them other than being a douchebag and making a thread on ponychan, for which I will receive angry rage from Ion-Sterum (I think that's his name). Most reviewers won't take trollfics for obvious reasons.

So that's my tail of woe, pointlessly shared with the world. And one more thing. "The Rite" was actually inspired by a song.

Not exactly about this song, but it's where I got the idea for Celestia fighting. Also seriously, me gusta this song. Just thought you might like to know.
