I guess this pretty much gives me four choices in regards to "The Coffeeverse", and what I do from now on in terms of writing. The finale pretty much shattered the headcanon I'd got for how the Royal Guard are structured (As set out in Homecoming, Wet Work, Nightingale Syndrome, Drunken Lullabies, Downpour, Just Following Orders and eventually Thunderstruck) which unfortunately has a knock-on effect in pretty much every fic I've written. What I'd like to know is what you guys would like to see;
1 - Keep on with the Coffeeverse as it is, regardless of what the show itself says.
2 - Retcon / re-write all of the things that have changed, and carry on working on long-fics as and when I can.
3 - Give up on the Coffeeverse, and write more one-shot stories like Finders Keepers, Maximum Relaxation, Matterhorn etc.
4 - Retcon / re-write what I've got, then focus more on one-shots
Please let me know what you think! If the end result is to abandon following my headcanon, I'll gladly scribble up some sort of timeline for everything to make sense to whoever stumbles upon it.

1- Keep it as is dude. You worked hard on your fics and people enjoyed them for what they were, I say just keep on trucking forward.
Additional option 5 - Drink until your worries are replaced by euphoria and sudden affection for strangers
It's established Coffeeverse fiction. Leave it as-is. I have enough optimism in me to say that the community won't mind.

I vote for Op 1. Despite the headcanon changing, you established your fanon a long time ago, and that's how your story is based. :>
Before the Episodes i thought Shining Armor is stupid and Cadence is, well, DE-Cadence and a bitch but now..... Cadence is cool and Shining Armor is now promoted to a moron. Keep going with your Stories and dont change your characters. But you can put Shining Armor as jester or local idiot in your stories.
I see no reason to give up on the Coffeeverse. There's just too much work that's gone into it. Nor do I think it necessary to retcon anything. This is YOUR universe, and damn the canon.
I do like the idea of more one shots though.

I agree with option 1. The show jumps around a lot and doesn't try to keep continuity as much as fanfiction writers.

Hey, in all retrospect, I blame THEIR universe for not matching up with yours.
Anyways, who cares about canon, some things can be overlooked. This is one of those things, especially since you already put so much work into it as is.

Hi coffee, it's been awhile. You probably don't remember me, but that's fine, I'm just here to voice my opinion anyway. Keep the Coffeeverse as it is. You've spend a long time building it and to tear it down now...well....that'd just be a waste. Who cares if it doesn't follow canon exactly? That was never a requirement for fanfics. Keep on writing.
