Turning Gears(Update 2) · 6:48pm Oct 30th, 2013
Hi guys!! I am almost finished with the first chapter of Turning Gears! :) Anyways, here is a list of some of the characters that will be in the story:
1. Shift
He is a changeling that has been living in Canterlot. He looks like a regular pony and not many know he is a changeling. He usually strolls around in the form of a pegasus

2. Steam Sprocket
She is an Earth pony from Ponyville but sometimes visits Canterlot to see her friends and to get some new materials and tools. She is also the older sister of Lightning Charge.
3. Lightning Charge.
He is a very energetic Earth pony and lives with his sister in Ponyville. He is about the age of a young filly/colt and his older sister is Steam Sprocket. He can usually be seen hanging out with Midnight Scepter when in Canterlot.
And last, but not least:
4. Midnight Scepter
He is a unicorn and lives in Canterlot. He is usually seen around the palace and hopes to be a royal guard some day. He can be seen hanging around with Lightning Charge most of the time and can be self-absorbed at times.

Sounds interesting. Well, if I knew anything about, I'd like to think of it as interesting!
But with ocs, if you want them to be good characters that we can connect with and that they're not gary/mary sues, ask yourself some questions about them:
What are they like?
What are their weaknesses?
What are their strengths?
Stuff about them, along those lines. Those are only a few.
You have to be extremely careful not to make your ocs perfect: if so, people will hate.
Describe your guys to me, if you want.
(And nice job on the drawings BTW, I wish I had see-through hair. Nah, just kidding, I suck at drawing.)
