So, my last laptop has been fried. It has more bugs in it than a Swedish insect farm. Currently writing this blog post on a old borrowed laptop from my uncle. Everything I've written that's on the site and a few chapters that were about to be posted are gone. If you want a list of the new chapters that are gone, it's:
2 chapters (about 8,000 words) of Words of Power.
1 chapter (about 2000 words) of WWUU
1 chapter (about 5000 words) of Remember me?
Obviously I'm crushed. Losing Words of power probably the worst since I had written so much for it. Even losing WWUU isn't so bad since I had gotten a bit of writers block on that and Remember me? Course I also wrote all my planning notes for WWUU so getting back to writing that is going to be difficult.
Suppose this is what I get for not installing any kind of internet security etc. (IDIOT!)
Anyway as you can imagine it's going to take me quite a while to write anything for any of the stories. Maybe this will be better in the long run, it'll make me re-write and probably re-imagine where I was going with these stories. Causing me to have a hard look at them and what I want for them. But just right now, it's horrible.
What? The HDD failed? If not, why not just yank the drive out of your old machine and hook it up to the new one and grab the data?
1461154 Yeah, the whole thing is toast. I'm not the best with computers so I took it to an IT friend of mine. Asked him if there was anything he could do but apparently not.
Man, that really sucks. This is why I use google drive, storing stories over the internet just seems safer.
