Just who told you Nightmare Moon was going to be the final boss in season 3? Well, this innocent passerby.
Yeah, well, almost... Twilicorn had to happen, ruining the life of everyone, yada-yada-yada.
The point is that, like Discord, this ending boss was delayed as the "intro boss," if such ridiculous concept does even exist.
That's why season 2 is best season.
In season 4 I was expecting to see a Celestia-Luna episode only, but this is also acceptable. I hope writers try to take this episode with a bit more of "good narrative" and less "buy my employer's merchandise" spirit on it.

Well, as I was saying, I know that Nightmarity canon is too much to ask, so no miasma explained. Anyway, sounds like a good Luna's episode, and I hope Rarity gets one too, and that the whole Discord thing won't be some trolling from Celestia.
