Well, chapter 5 is up. I probably should have waited until more of my pre-readers responded, but I was getting anxious to see the reactions to this chapter.
I had a hard time writing this chapter. It's said that I got a good sense of humour, and that really helped me in the first few chapters, but now that all the introductions have been made and the premise been established, I'm going to have some actual PLOT happen. So this, as well as the following chapters will be the true test of my skill. Can I actually sustain a longer narrative? Only time will tell. The fact that I have NO IDEA what's going to happen next chapter will probably make it a bit difficult, though.
When I started this fanfic, I had a pretty good idea where it would start, where it would end, and what would happen in between. But now that I've actually written a few chapters, I had to scrap everything. It just didn't fit any more. the characters became something else, the tone was different, it would all be a big jarring mess that no one could ever like.
So are you curious what's going to happen next? Join the club, I'm the bloody president.
This chapter has been a difficult one to write, but I hope you enjoyed it.
Now, onto other news: CenturionFox13 has been so kind to donate an image for the cover. And I really like it. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. So, thank you CenturionFox13, you're a bro(ny).
Especially because this means that I can now send it to Equestria Daily without looking too much like a total newb (which I happen to be). I'll probably won't get through on the first try, but they might have some interesting constructive criticism.
Fingers Crossed. In the meantime, I'm going to play some Xenoblade Chronicles for the second time. Been far too long since I touched that one. Great RPG, really.
