My First EQD Strike

So yesterday I got the following message from EQD regarding my "There's a Changeling on my Couch" story:

I cannot recommend this for posting.

Reasons for rejection:
Capitalization
Uninspiring opening (poem + weather report)
Map is somewhat difficult to decipher and looks bad
Compound word hyphenation
Awkward shifts to second person
Awkward phrasing
Hyphen/dash confusion
Spacing
General punctuation
Missing end-of-sentence punctuation

The good news is that other than the uninspiring opening, none of their beefs are with the content of the story. Most of the things they point out have to do with formatting. The bad news is that as somepony who makes his living as an English Tutor, I'm still sad.

BUT! I shall go through and overhaul the story, then resubmit. I'm not too worried. In other news, I'm very happy with the small but enthusiastic reception the Gila monster story and the shipfic collection received. I'll try to update the shipfic story today, as well as my cockatrice one as well. I have the Doctor Whooves/Fleur Lis Dee story to write some more of so that I can publish it.
