One-Shotober update and Blast from the Past Promotion! · 9:08am Oct 19th, 2013
I've been silent these last few days. Work has been busy as crap. Anywho, working on a few more One-shotober fics. I plan on getting 2-3 done by Monday but no promises. I will have one for sure as I just finished writing it and need to go over it and get it out to my proofreaders.
Also, why am I sticking with One-shotober? It set up a goal other then "Cuz it fun to do" for writing, 31 fics in 31 days. Seriously I haven't written this much this quickly before, why cuz I have a goal to it now.
As for after October, i think i'm going to put the one-shots away and fire back up on Friend of the Nerevarine and going to do the last 2 tales of *gasp* The Alchemist's Tales!
Also I feel like promoting some stories that may have dust starting to cover them as being completed long ago.
Steamlord
Sometimes, your inventions can bring about great good for humanity. And sometimes, they do the opposite. However, a single man actually did BOTH with his creations, and is one of the few survivors left on Earth after the "Ash fall". He decides, with his breakthrough in spatial rendering, to leave the destroyed Earth behind and go for a new world. He aims to go to a fresh Earth, where everything is as it should be, without his existence.
Unfortunately, he goes slightly off-course, and ends up in the wrong world. How will his technology get him through this?
If any of you don't like a little steam-punk, than you shouldn't read this, because the main character's technology is heavily influenced on it...except for three certain things.
The beginning of the story was inspired by "Techno-Babble in Equestria" made by N64Fan. You should go check it out. It's pretty good.
That work of art is "Steampunk Wanderer" by amlaidgh. I only found the name of the artist, so I don't know where it could have been originally posted.
Stranded on a hostile, alien world, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash must depend on one another and a fellow alien castaway if they want to return home to Equestria.
A group of humans attempt to escape a global nuclear war through the use of time travel. However, something goes wrong with Sam Mitchell's pod, flinging him far into the future, into a time where humans no longer exist and a race of sentient ponies now thrive as the dominant life form. He eventually comes to the attention of a certain purple unicorn, who aims to learn all she can of Sam and his civilization as well as help him adjust to his new life.
Can Sam handle living as the only human? Can Equestria, and Twilight in particular, handle the changes this alien brings?
Cause and Effect: Discord's Truth
We all dream of going to fantasy worlds we like one day. Well, that happened to me once. However, not everything was all sunshine and rainbows. What if there's a higher reason? We all like to think there is, but perhaps this time there truly is one.
If you end up with a feeling of why is the main character like this, well, I have a reason for it so don't stop reading because of that.
