Trend

There's an interesting trend on my number of comments per blog post.
It seems to spike every time I post a popular new story, and trail off after that.
I think everyone thinks "oh hey I'll follow this person for new stories" and then they think "ew blog posts"
That sounds about accurate
Is this accurate?

Having no title makes it a lot harder to comment on, so that's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
I for one follow authors to see their blog posts, so I can't imagine why people would be annoyed by receiving the notifications that they expressly signed up for.
Even if I got nothin' to say, I at least read what's posted.

I follow authors because I enjoy one or more of their stories and hope to see more.

I follow authors to be notified of new stories by them, but I don't mind blog posts unless they're both numerous and consistently irrelevant to my interests.

I'd say your model of what's going on is accurate.

I do try to read all blog posts, but I don't have time to comment on most of them. I'm following too many people and would have no time to read stories.
