SombraPie: Polar opposites at its best

SombraPie is pairing consisting of King Sombra and Pinkie Pie. There are few SombraPie stories on the site- believe me, I've checked.

This pairing has not sparked my interest until I recently read a cute little rom-com called "Feeling Pinkie Mean". This story shows the complete contrast between Sombra and Pinkie, two completely different characters and cannot portray it any better than it already is. Pinkie's easy-going, happy-go-lucky lifestyle contrast completely against Sombra's hateful, vengeful jerkiness.

Pinkie and Sombra could not be any more different in any way possible. I like this pairing also because of a FanMade video about Sombra called, "A tale of one shadow", where Sombra looked into dark magic and in doing so, created a darker version of himself. Sombra fought against it, but lost and in doing so, the darker version took control and enslaved the entire crystal kingdom. Another reason I like this story is that it holds a romantic back story for Sombra, a crystal pony who watched as the darkness took over him.

This makes this pairing even more interesting- perhaps Pinkie reminds him of his old love? The crystal ponies are a happy and loving bunch, are they not? So maybe, just maybe...

I like this pairing mainly because Pinkie is my favorite pony and that Sombra didn't have a lot of screen time or back story, so I do what I can.
