I guess I'd better start using this now that I have a story up.

I'll probably do one of these at least after each story I post. Maybe more if I can get myself around to writing more. I have a few stories in the works, but I don't like the idea of posting things before they're done and I abhor stories that sit incomplete for months on end, forgotten by their authors. Or at least I hate it when that happens. Some of them are quite good and GUESS WHAT MY READ LATER LIST IS FULL OF RIGHT NOW?!?! My favorites too, but y'know how that goes.

Anyway, about my first story. I dunno where the inspiration came from, but now that I look back on it, the smiles everypony was wearing look a lot like those the cheshire cat would. Or at least somewhat. I know that wasn't my intention at first, and I only realized it afterward. Again, it was an entry for the 2013 EQD Nightmare Night fanfic contest thing. Which closes in 6 or so hours from this posting. So hopefully it does well. Fun fact about me: My second favorite holiday is Halloween. My first favorite holiday is Groundhog Day. As far as time it took to write the story, I spent more or less 8 hours last night plus 2 or so over the last two weeks. I had maybe a half a page of notes at the end of it, but the diary style and not including more than two full names (that I had to reuse anyway) helped out. Honestly the only thing in my notes I actually used was the school start date. All dates were arbitrarily decided and are not linked to specific days of the week. Because I'm lazy.

As far as when my next story will come out? Like I said (wrote?) earlier, I have one or two in the works, I just need to get off my bum and finish them.
As for what they are?

The world may never know.

I currently have:
-A Trixie in Space fic that I haven't touched in months and is only 500 words long at this point. Shooting for at least 10x that per chapter.
-A series of 500 word shorts that rip off the Twilight Zone. Will publish when I have more than one done. Related: Netflix is awesome.
-The Many Adventures of Roseluck the Gardener. A light-hearted comedy/adventure story starring Roseluck. I have a chapter done, but will not post until the story is complete.
-A story (lovingly) ripped off from the transcript of a pony roleplaying game I'm in. The transcript is currently 23 pages (but only 6k words. I use a lot of newlines).

So yeah. I might get around to those at some point. The RP one I would post periodically because there's no telling how long the game will go on for, but only after my class load subsides. Or something.
