EQG sucks #4.5: Sunset Shimmer plan · 3:41pm Oct 6th, 2013
Hello again, dear readers, and welcone to this bonus of Equestria Girls. Last time i've explained why Sunset didn't work as a villain, today im gonna explain another thing about her: the plan. Is one of the worst idea ever imagined in the world of fiction. Is so bad that i thought to made this extra DLC (But, unlike those, you do not need to pay me ;) ) to explain in the detail why.
First, her plan works just because of this things here: The stupidity of everypony/body that surround her, the stupidity of the plot and the convenience of such plot and the idiocy of Celestia, wich i will explain well in the next entry of this blog.
Second thing: her plan makes no sense cause and is full of unanswered questions.
Why did she stayed into a world without magic for many years when she A) don't want to rule in such world B) wanted to have more power? And how does she know what a elements do into another world (Even if she really know, cause again, its never explained)? And how is that Twilight dosen't? And how did she knew where Twilight was sleeping in the Crystal Empire? And why did she wanted to break the friendship of the humane 5?
But i digress.
So, for the most of the movie we didn't really get to understand what is that she's planning. We got to wait till almost the end of the movie. Till there we got to see how much of a lame challange she is to Twilight, and makes up some dumb plan that only works cause, again, everyone does not know how to use their own brain. Of course it jump in my mind as yours that Sunset already steal the crown twice, one time from a freaking palace, why should the security of a simple school manage to be a problem with her.
If she was as smart as the real Twilight she would have found a way to steal it again, and avoid to waste more time in silly plans that fails in a matter of seconds. But she is as smart as the Twilight of EQG, so not big of a surprise.
And her last move is to frame Twilight with destroying the gym decoration for the prom. Now, let's think for a second that her plan really worked, that she took care of get rid of the proof instead to throwing it in a trash can and just imagine that Flash didn't succed it to find it with no real good explanations. Twilight gets expelled from the school prom and all, what does Sunset Shimmer get? She may win the crown, but she will have to wait two and a half years to get to Equestria. I guess that the EQG drones would try to defend her actions by saying that it wasn't her intention, and they were right, but it dosent' change the fact that it happen and if it wasn't for Twilight and her slaves to fix the gym her plan would have failed. And no, before that some EQG drones say this, it wasn't in her idea to do what TS do. And even if she could have done that then why she scold Snips and Snails for destroying the decoration instead of chew them about of how they took care of eliminating the proof of Twilight innocence. In fact that would have been a good plan to win some votes, but Hasbro didn't tought about that, those idiots.
So, we finally have the chance to get to know her plan. You know, usually a movie explain the villain plan when it miss 20 minutes, more or less. Here it is explained when it miss 13 minutes at his best. It is at least a good plan? If you readed the "8 things that makes EQG horrible" or the last entry where i talk about Sunset you already knew the answer. If not, let me sum it up for you: She manage to get the crown (only because Twilight Sparkle here is an idiot), she turn into a lame as heck devil (With funny looking theet and useless wings), turn Snips And Snails in succubus, then she proceed to hypnotyse the students of the school. And here is the thing: her plan is to use the students army to take over Equestria. Now my reaction was more or less this one:
If you make some change it sounds like if the Nostalgia Critic is talking about Sunset Plan. But is a lot more dumb.
Le't try to explain into details why this plan is an amount of failures that totally kills Sunset Shimmer chance to be a good villain:
The portal: The portal was already about to close, how in the fuck name will Sunset fit 1000+ students into that thing? Consider it the space it have it could pass at least 3 students at the time at his best. And consider it how her supposed army is slow, im afraid that her army will not get all to the other side in time. Talking about the "army"...
The Army: They look just as slow as a classic zombie, and at as least as stupid. And once that they will get to the other side they will meet the same problems that Twilight had into turning into a human, but it could be even worst, consider it that moving a muscle is easy, but how could a human who never used magic before learn how to use it? Or wings? And it wouldn't the trasformation in unicorn and thus possessing magic give them the chance to break out the spell (Hey, if the EQG drones can pull out excuses out of their ass to the plot-holes of the movie i can that too, but at least mine makes sense)? And also, they have no experience whatsoever of battle. Well, at least Sunset have the Elements of Magic with her, right? Wrong;
The element of Magic: People (not necessarly EQG drones) think that once Sunset will pass through the portal she will become even more powerful. I don't think so, and neither should they. The thing that makes the crown work in that way is the fact that is specifically stated in those two things that Sunset tells to Twilight about the reason she brought the crown in the human world. So, going for what she said, if she goes through the portal with the crown/element this one will stop working and, again, using the power of the plot-hole i can say that the crown could even turn her back into a normal pony. And even if that didn't happen she will lose the ability to use it. And she say that she will take over with the army, but we already stated that the army sucks. Oh well, the portal may close before she get all her "army to the other said", her army is with no real skills and intelligence and the crown will not help her in the other side but it's not like in the other side there will meet problems, right? Wrong again;
The opposition: Celestia as already been defeted in the past, but she is not alone to fight, let's make a list of what Sunset is gonna face:
1) Celestia and Luna;
2) Cadence and the Crystal Heart (Wich is a very powerful item that manage to destroy Sombra, a dude who took both the royal princess to take down);
3) The Mane 5, with or without the elements they can kick serious butt, when the writer is not Merrywether (who likes to make them look like pansies);
4) The army of both Canterlot and Crystal Empire, who are far more expert that Sunset army;
5) Discord, the guy who can stopped only by all 6 elements of Harmony. Even if Sunset manage to keep control on the element, it would still need the other 5, and even if she manage to get to work it all togheter Discord may not fall so easely in that trick. And Discord have far more power that Sunset may ever had.
Yeah, i kinda copied the Movie Master part and added a post of Rylasasin with some changes. But i wanted to add something mine, and i can't do much to write down better reason of why Sunset Shimmer plans is one huge...
A villain plan should be something that it gives the viewer a sense of urgence of stopping the villain plot to prevail or else everything is doomed. And Sunset plans gives me any kind of feeling but those. It's stupid, is full of problems. In one word: bad.
