Writing with a big smile on my face. For two reasons. 1) I'm finally moved into a new house that isn't owned by an asshole, which means I should start getting back to working on my stories fairly soon. That is as soon as I can convince myself to stop watching Zero Punctuation and Dragon Ball Z abridged on youtube. 2) My cat will not leave me the hell alone and it's really cute. Just got the little bugger, ironically from the jackass who owned the last house. He didn't want her, and I knew if I left her with him he'd probably let her starve to death.
Anyways. On to the crap you actually care about, because no one wants to hear somebody talk about his cat for more than three sentences. It's a sign that the person is pathetic and should probably be shot before they realize they are going to die alone.
Deception is Magic is currently in the sixth chapter still. Slight spoilers incoming. Sorry about the slow going, but I'm getting very close to the invasion and I'm trying to get this right the first time. Dealing with Celestia is (I'm hoping) going to be a tear jerker, but right now I'm dealing with Cadence. I going over this scene carefully. I don't want to give away the big reveal, which I'm sure a few of you have already figured out. At the same time I'm trying not to be too...my vocabulary is failing me at the moment so I'll just say I'm trying not to reveal too much, but at the same time revealing just enough to satisfy your curiosity and make you yell "Oh come on just tell me already!" and follow the fishhook with a twenty dollar bill on it for a couple more blocks without making you say "Fuck it, not worth it, leaving".
Let's see, what else? He said in mock thought while scratching his chin in his head because doing it mockingly while typing would be simply absurd. Well there is something else I've been doing in my off-time the past half-week. Yeah, yeah, just get to DiM and submit the next chapter right? Well too bad. Once the mildly autistic mind wanders it goes where it wants and I can't stop it. Short of putting a hole in it of course, but I think that might be counter-productive.
I started up a one-shot in my head last week that I decided to call "A Mare and a Stallion" featuring Luna and...a werewolf. I know, not something that shocking, but I wanted to do something I haven't, and I haven't done werewolves before. I'm gonna see if I can't get someone to get me a cover image with Luna and a werewolf, but it doesn't seem like one exists on Deviant Art. Since it's just a one-shot I'm not going to commission one either. Not really an adventure one. For once I'll just do a slice of life. I'll not say much about this one.
Finally, I have started working on another new project, simply called "The Sands of Time". This one is going to be an original work of mine. I won't say much, but I will say what the inspiration for it was. With Deception is Magic, where the story was inspired by the image, I got the idea what if the Mane 6 where all changelings and in on the invasion plan? Of course, as you'll as see blatantly clear (that is if I get off my lazy ass after posting this and get to work), the idea soon went deeper than that. The Mane 6 all being changelings wasn't a new idea by any means, but I put my own spin on it and it worked out better than I ever though it would.
Now The Sands of Time is based on another done to death idea, again with my own spin on it. The idea that princess Twilight is now immortal and has to face that fact. Oh course I'm not one for pathetic slice of life/sad/one-shots. I'm one for adventure fics, and that's what this is. After all, what could be more interesting than a confused and scared Twilight being forced to face someone who failed the challenge? (I'VE SAID TOO MUCH!) Now this one...this one I'll likely get a cover image commissioned for when it's ready to be submitted.

Well, it is good to hear that you are doing better after the mess you described in your last post (cats make everything better
), and what you have said about Deception is Magic was fairly obvious. You have to have the conversation between Shiny and Cadence next so that is going to be the next chapter, and after that it will be time for the invasion and the inevitable confrontation with Celestia (unless you add another historical chapter). I am really hoping Cadence comes around because I cannot really see her hating Twilight or going against Shiny, but on the other hand I cannot really see her turning on Celestia either so we will have to see what happens.
Also, it is nice to see I made an impression.

I was too tired to get to work last night, since I was just running on fumes after this post. I got a blanket over my much too large window to block out the sun now, so sleeping should be easier. Plus, for the first time I'm on the ground floor, and I like my privacy.
Historical chapters, as I already stated, go in intervals of 3, starting from 2. The next one will be chapter 8. Chapter 7 is likely going to be the invasion. I'm going to need some time to figure out how I'm going to do that, otherwise it could just end up as one fight scene, and I tend to do a lot of physical violence. I am good at it too. Not saying much about Cadence, though it is worth noting that if you go by Green Lantern logic, she would be one of the Star Sapphires...now I'm imagining that, and it is sexy.
...Now what Lantern would Luna be, and what would that look like? ...*realizes I'm still typing* I'll keep that particular image in my personal collection...I decided on White Lantern btw. She really could go to any of the base seven if you think about it.
Well I'm obviously not going to make Cadence a bitch. Handling Celestia on the other hand is what I'm really worried about. Keeping her in character for this situation will cause feels, but coming the inevitable conclusion will be tricky. I think I'll have Twilight and Chrysy handle her. After that, "phase one will be complete". The next couple chapters are going to be a hassle that's for sure, and it's high time I get off my lazy ass and do it already.
