The Unlikeliest of Places is back on!

As the title so explicitly implies, I've removed the hiatus tag from The Unlikeliest of Places. This is because it is no longer on hiatus. I'm writing more of it. Funny how that works.

Back from the dead, with a story to tell

    Hey guys.

It's ancient history by now, but you may recall that I once wrote stories on this site. It was a good time. I had fun, you had fun, it was all so very . . . fun.

The Goings On as of Right Now

For starters, I'd just like to thank you for all the support and love that The Kiss in his Eyes has been getting. Starting this story, I had no idea how it would sit with you, and I'm so happy to see that you're liking it, and I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update all that regularly. I have no better excuse, other than the fact that I've been busy as of late. When I get some free time,

When I get some free time, I'd love to just sit down for a few hours and write, but unfortunately, this is all I can do for now. Sorry.

As for other projects, I'm sorry to say that there won't be any until TKIHE is finished (bad acronyms, for the win) there won't be any new stories. The reason for that being that I recently received a tidbit of advice from one Larry Correia at Salt Lake City Comic Con, and that was to finish what you write.
Seems simple right? Well, for me, that'd be dead wrong. I am absolutely fantastic at getting ideas, writing a chapter or two of said idea, then putting it down never to return to it again. But finishing stories . . . that's a whole 'nother story. It's happened with The Unlikeliest of Places, and it's starting to happen to Sing Like You Can't Be Heard. I will return to both of those when I find the time, but for now, I'm sticking with what I'm already in the groove of.

For now, I have two new projects in mind, both of which won't see the light of day for quite a while. One is a short-and-sad, which I haven't decided whether or not to make a multi-chapter. It deals with musings, memories, and mortality. It's sad. It makes me sad. Why do I write these, again?

The other is a sequel to Melodious Desideratum. Yeah, that story that I said I probably would never write a sequel to. That one. Anyway, I was recently listening to The Piano Guys (as one does) and I found myself thinking, "Man, I really miss Octavia. I wish Melodious Desideratum wasn't over." Well fear not, myself! Literature is limitless! If you want to continue down that road, then your only hindrance is your own imagination!

But not yet.

Don't feel bad. I find myself of late wishing I were vacationing in whatever the hell quadrant Deep Space Nine is located, just to take advantage of the 26-hour Bajoran day: I really need an extra couple of hours a day.

And you know how my "no sequels" policy worked out.

I do indeed know how your "no sequels" policy worked out. It worked out rather well, methinks. :raritywink:

I had MD downloaded for about 4 months before I finally sat down and read it last night. Then I spent the next hour kicking myself in the ass for not reading it sooner. You gave great personalities to the characters and if you want to put out a sequel and expand on it I would not be opposed. Like, fav and watch.
