Is Bionicle any good? I've heard many mentions of it but I always remember the terrible offerings they gave us during my childhood.
1437453 It was AMAZING. The story was one of the best I've ever experienced(podcasts were AMAZING, books were meh because they were targeting children), and the toys were pretty cool up until it's last year (fucking Bionicle Stars). Second movie was the best, then the first, then the third, then the fourth. Then, apparently, Bionicle's story was "too dark" for current children (suck it up, I had to), and sets weren't selling, so they stopped it and started Hero Factory(even though I shouldn't hate it, I still do. Fucking Hero Factory). I was still rather young when that happened, so I remember crying for a solid hour after it was confirmed. And the worst part is, in the last episode of the comics, there was a message from Greg Farshtey (is that how it's spelled?) that basically inferred the end of Bionicle without outright saying it, and had the nerve to say, "Thanks for the support! Send us your creations, and we'll be sure to publish them in the next comic!(I don't think there was a next comic)" before working on stuff other than Bionicle. It tried living a while after it got shut down (LEGO let Greg continue it), but it died anyways.
TL;DR: It's awesome. Go on the wiki and memorize everything. It's what I did.
