    Just Keep Typing...

    Hey Peeps.

Things are still slogging along, in spite of what it may seem.
Unfortunately things may come to a temporary halt for another fair stint.

    Over a Year

It has been over a year since my last chapter was put up.

Does that make me a bad person?

*ducks and cowers from the loud, resounding confirmations*

What if I just posted another chapter and took my fic off its hiatus status? Still a bad guy?

    *ducks thrown objects*

    Time Keeps Marching On

It's that time of year again. Probably time to update something if not my story.

That probably isn't what any of you wanted to hear though, am I right? Yeah admittedly I really wanted to have a new chapter up too. Alas twas not to be!

    The Empire Strikes Back!

Or in this case, the Everfree.

New chapter is up! Hope it was worth the wait. I forewarned it's more dark nature in my last post, but with my editor freshly traumatized, I perhaps need to make another warning here.

You're Tearing Me Apart, Frazzled! Oh hai new picture! · 2:47am Sep 26th, 2013

Hello my readers!
Some of you may notice something a little different about my fic today. I don't know if you've seen it recently, so you can check it out, or see the difference here.

It isn't the he said, she said stuff, in case you're guessing. No, Frazzled Pony has been behind me, slapping me around with synonyms of said for several chapters now. You all love the results, while I wonder why I continue to let this guy rip my heart out for my ineptitude one chapter at a time. He may love the story, but he barely tolerates its writer. I know his game, I see through his sly glowing reviews. The praise and compliments are always followed by pages and pages of heart wrenching terror and sucker punches. His knuckles are wrapped in grammar problems, his fists steeled and strengthened by torrents of typos and repetitious words.

No, but I will not see him for awhile. My next chapter is only 9 pages in. It is but a skin from the teeth of a gaping maw that shall consume my life for the next month or more as I deliberate on its words, and how I shall carefully use them to weave my ever-lengthening outline into coherent patterns of story and prose. Indeed its fangs already taken hold, and the opening scene I have typed out twice before satisfied enough to move on into the dark timbers of the Everfree where burns a hatred moving in the dark, yet alight with green flame. Nay, you will not see this chapter for awhile methinks.

The new thing that has graced my story is instead a picture.

WHY. You might cry, Why oh why, dear writer, do you waste your time on such silly things as blogs and pictures instead of toiling upon the task you have promised us all? We care not or these minor things, they will have no bearing on the true treasure at the end of this journey!

I would answer with a saddened look, for your cries ring out with a sting of truth. What has possessed me that I have allowed myself to be distracted from my true goals? Why the only thing that can, dear readers. The toils and efforts of a friend. An old friend I have paid to paint a piece that represents the story that I have told and continue to tell. Even still, I should not bother you with such nonsense for it is not yet finished, you see. Just a template, born of art and inspiration. Its background is still rough, and wills for more to be done, a great amount needs doing with the clouds and the sun. The black lines shall be removed, and the proper colours of the show shall blend into their rightful places. Then the special effects still to be put in! The lighting, the turn from shadow of cell shading to its natural softened textures. So much still to do, but I see it now, and I must share. I must share, because its visage has emblazoned me with joy and happiness, and on the off chance that it may do so to you as well, I feel it is worth the delay.

Rare it is, that images work for me upon these hallowed halls. They oft time refuse my good intentions, so should that picture fail to load as it so often does I have also provided a link:

The Skyblazer Crusaders

Please enjoy, and remember that it still has a long way to travel before it even nears completion. My humble thanks and pardon for listening to this writer's prattle and allowing my distractions.

Now I fall back to my script as my passion takes me forth once more into the recesses of those haunted woods.

That's pretty badass...

I know, right? I love every part of it. Spike should be a bit larger storywise, or shoulders a bit broader perhaps, but otherwise it is utter perfection for what I wanted. It's still only like half done but I didn't have the patience not to post it. Just so others can see what I've been raving about in my blog posts for awhile now.
