*sighs*
Sorry about this severe lack of updating, folks. I'd like to say there's a reasonable reason for it, but considering there's not much else to do in my life besides job searches, you'd be expecting me to be churning out the chapters like crazy.
Not so. My brain may be engaged, but in all manner of other activities. I'm learning silver-smithing, jewellery making, cooking, baking, basic graphics-tablet usage, and a veritable plethora of other pursuits, in a bid to a) find a skill I can exploit job-wise, and b) just for fun or for other people. Who knew you could make blackberry jam, eh? Tastes great.
I've even started several other stories, among all this other stuff. my story total at the minute, unpublished included, is now four; Amongst the Trees, Candied Green Tastes Like 42, Ghost (preliminary title) and The Compleat Everfree Encyclopaedia. The most work as of late has gone into Ghost, for reasons known only to my subconscious.
Still, I've got to apologise to you all; I know there's some of you who have been waiting patiently for the next instalment of Amongst the Trees for well over a month-and-a-half, and it's not really fair on you, now is it? rest assured, I'm not giving up yet, it just... is taking time to flow. if I try and rush it, I'm sure it would end up like all my attempts at writing in primary school, ending up writing how "NoaH BIlt an aARDvarc" (purposeful spelling and grammar errors there, sorry rikusorasephiroth).
So, this is what I've said in a nutshell; I'm not dead, stories are coming at a slow pace, and I was a crazy kid in school. Big surprise there.
Okay, every one, peace out! I think tonight might be a good night for inspiration, so time's a-wasting!
