So... a lot has gone on over the past few months.
: Ah'll say.
Many things have been completely absorbing my time (mainly college). There have been a large amount of ups and downs, but finally that first stressful part is coming to a close. Yesterday, I attended my graduation where I received my Associate's degree in Computer Networking.
: Congratulations! Do you plan on continuing your education?
Of course! I am currently looking into another college for Software Engineering. I'd like to get my Bachelor's and maybe even Master's.
: Did you tell them the other good news?
I was getting to that. As it so happens, yesterday, my good friend NotSoSubtle finally got his story, Valor is Magic, approved and posted on Equestria Daily (Congrats NSS!). So, all in all, it has been a very good week.
: So, you are looking at continuing your education. That's awesome and all, but where does that leave Apocrypha, Somepony New? You haven't abandoned it, have you?
No, of course I haven't abandoned this story. It is something that is very near and dear to me. I have to complete it and share it with everyone. While I have not been writing for the past few months due to lack of time, I have been managing to improve my writing ability by a great deal. I have read a lot and I took notes where applicable. Hopefully, you will agree when you see the new chapter that will be arriving soon (tm). My good buddies NSS and FrontSevens have been coaching my writing, pointing out areas where it could improve and allowing me to fix the flaws on my own. I can safely say, without these two, I would be a much poorer writer than I am today.
: Soon!? But that isn't a time! Why can't you just tell us when the next chapter will be out?
If I gave you a specific date, I would most likely not meet it. I could give one that is really far off, but that wouldn't be much help. If I underestimate the time it will take, then I will wind up looking dishonest... and I know a certain pony who isn't fond of that.

I want this story to be as good for you, as it has been for me (in my head). With all that being said, however, you can expect more Alex and Twilight very soon.
Given my own inattention to detail of late, I'm not at all going to complain. Take as much time as you think it needs.
