Let the star shine beyond its confines to other worlds.

So, I'm rather new to the Brony community. Well that isn't true; I've been a fan for a couple years, but this is the first I've actually created anything and submitted it to the community.

I'm a 3d artist by trade, but also do a great deal of 2d art, both traditional pencil drawing and digital painting. And my hobby is of coarse writing.

About six months ago, I first read Pen Stroke's Past Sins. I have to say it inspired me. For the first time, I felt like I really wanted to write something not based on a world of my own creation. For the first time I actually wanted to write a fan fiction. And so the first idea for Midnight Star began to form in my head.

Ever since I found out that Twilight was going to become an Alicorn, I've always imagined her becoming the most powerful Alicorn as far as magic is concerned. Her talent after all lies in magic, whereas Celestia and Luna's lie bringing about day and night respectively. Midnight Star's story stemmed from that idea. Also, though Celestia and Luna are immortal, I've never seen them as deities. This is likely because my other writings often deal with immortal characters that are far from deities themselves.
