Sorry (To Anyone Who Happens To Care)

Hello, everyone. If you've been keeping up with me (which is highly unlikely since I don't have many viewers at all), I have revoked my story AURA: The Story of Nova Blade. Why did I do this? A few reasons:

    1. I do not think I'm ready for action stories as of yet.

    2. I do not think that my writing is good enough for the story I have envisioned in my head

Hman's Wrath: Arguments on Religious Fanfiction

Hey, so, if anyone happens to stumble upon this, I'm making a few rant posts just to vent some anger. Most of this will just be regarding fanfiction, but maybe a little bit of social issues, political views and just flat-out daily dosage of internet crap. Anyways, it's time for:

Hman's Wrath: Arguments on Religious Fanfiction · 11:07pm Sep 14th, 2013

Hey, so, if anyone happens to stumble upon this, I'm making a few rant posts just to vent some anger. Most of this will just be regarding fanfiction, but maybe a little bit of social issues, political views and just flat-out daily dosage of internet crap. Anyways, it's time for:

HMAN'S WRATH: ARGUMENTS ON RELIGIOUS FANFICTION

Okay, before we get started, I want to make one thing clear: I am a Protestant Christian Brony (planning on converting to Catholic). So, if any other religion - or no religion at all - is reading this, don't worry. I'm not going to discuss how great this religion is or anything, but rather, the arguments between this religion and Atheists.

The way I see Atheists is that there are two kinds:

1) Irrational, argument-sparking, know-it-all jerks.

OR

2) Justified, calm, collective, rational and intelligent people.

Obviously, I do not mean it by a religious standing.

I have a few friends of mine that are Atheist, all of which, are how I describe "good" Atheists. But, there are times when I come across a.. well... less than desirable Atheist. We argued, we both made our points and pretty much got both of our butts beaten. Not by each other, but by humiliating ourselves. That's how all of these arguments go. Now, if you're an Atheist, you're probably thinking: "But Hman, why aren't you pointing out that some of you guys were wrong?" Good question. The answer is simple: I haven't gotten to that yet.

While I admit that I've had fights with an Atheist as well, I don't start forcing religion everywhere I go. And that's where a high number of Christians come in. I believe - from my own understanding and without any religious input - that religion is a human right; we may choose to believe in one or not. The point is that I've met Catholics that force religion on many people.

CATHOLICS!

The fact of the matter is that both are at fault. It is only human to argue or have disagreements of some sort, but when you bring it on an innocent story that was created for Christians, hoping that Bronies remember to love and tolerate, that's where I get mad.

This site is NOT for religious arguments (although, you may express religion freely), as a matter of fact, this site was made on the utmost golden rule of Bronies: love and tolerate. So, you can expect at first glance that your story won't be criticized in such a way, right? Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

First, I should say that the story I'm talking about (Fluttershy's Path to Heaven) is in terrible need of revising from what I heard. I will be reading the fanfic after this rant is done. So, when I sifted through the comments, I found this:

Fluttershy? Enjoying the Bible?

But then, I suppose you're not the first bad author to completely trample established character traits to fit your own nonsense into a popular medium.
Edit: Also, consider getting an editor. You need one.

Now, there's nothing wrong with not liking a story, but to hate on it because of what Christians believe in is just automatic hate for god-knows-why. The reason I say automatic hate was because that he called the religion ridiculous due to his own personal views and not on an actual view on the storytelling. While I agree that one of the characters reading the Bible doesn't exactly preserve what the character is, it's a fresh idea that deserves to be revised, rewritten and reviewed by the public. But if I were an Atheist, I wouldn't call the whole story nonsense because that is what the creator believed in. Writing a book, no matter what genre, tells what goes on inside your mind. It is a reflection of your creativity and beliefs.

And even if you absolutely HATE the fact that there are people around that believe in something that gives them faith what would you possibly be doing on a CHRISTIAN fanfiction? Causing all kinds of arguments, that's what. And most Atheist believe that religion is the most common source of arguments.

Bottom line:

WAKE UP, ATHEISTS! YOU'RE BECOMING THE VERY THING YOU'RE FIGHTING AGAINST!

So, TL;DR, everyone is a hypocrite hands down. I guess that's the end of my rant. Disagreements (or agreements) are definitely welcome.

Cheers.

This. Right here. This is pretty much how I feel. Your religion is a personal thing. You don't like it? Too bad.
Thanks for addressing this. I didn't even know this site had issues like that.

1353219 I'm glad you agree. I felt that this should be addressed, Christian or otherwise.
