Bean and how Pony Times began

Everyone has a story, perhaps they saw the show when they were little, or found it through forms, memes, magazines, T.V, adds, strangers, or friends. There are many reasons for ending up here, but hey I'm not going to complain one bit. Its pretty good here! For myself it was a friend who whispered to me while we were sitting on the couch.
"Hey,.. hey.. Christina.."

"..yeah, sup bean?" I wondered why she was whispering in the first place since we had just been speaking at normal volume a second ago.
"Can I show you something?" She asked while pulling her iphone out of her jacket pocket.
"...uh, sure?"
"Wait, promise me you'll sit through and watch the WHOLE THING!" She searched through her phone, as I pondered what it would be about.
"Sit through what?"
"...don't laugh." That only made me question it more.
"I won't." I begrudgingly sighed.
"okay....well its hard to get if you haven't watched it already and just-" She rambled.
"Alright alright," I cut in, "what is it?
"My Little Pony." She dead panned. If she hadn't I wouldn't of thought her to be serious. I gave her a questioning look and proceeded to cover my mouth and fight the rising giggles.
"Alright Bean you know I like some pretty kiddy stuff sometimes but really? Really?"
"Just watch it!" She pleaded. We had a bit of a face off, really I liked a lot of things and yeah sometimes they were kiddish but come on My little pony, I never even liked it as a kid! She kept giving me that sympathetic pleading look.
"..Alright fine. I'll watch it."
"Okay!" Bean exclaimed, showing that she was actually excited about it. The theme song started and I shot her a raised eyebrow and questioning glance.
"Can I laugh a little?"
"Just watch." She stubbornly told me. The song did get better and the cartoons didn't look like they were going to kill me. I was giving it that so far. Then about half way through the episode I found myself scarily enough getting more into it. And in the end she kept asking if I wanted to watch another episode. And after 3 episodes she had to go home. Before she left she did ask me, "So.. you liked it?"
I laughed and asked in my somewhat terrible Applejack/ southern accent, "Just what in the hay have you done to me?" We both laughed and thats the day I started to like MLP: FIM.
