an actual bloggish sort of post because... well, because

So today I was at an adult's birthday party where there were little children running around everywhere, and I was the only person there under the age of 30 but above the age of 12 (I'm 19, so fitting into groups like this is kind of hit-or-miss, depending on the kind of people there). Luckily for me, these people mostly happened to be geeks, so I actually had a pretty fun time discussing Doctor Who and MineCraft with this one lady and her two children, Stormageddon and Eris. (xD Those names just killed me! Okay, so "Stormageddon" was actually just the nickname given to little Ethan, who was just a baby, but the little girl, who was about seven I guess, was actually named Eris, so that was pretty cool. lawl)

Now Eris... gosh, that child talked my ear off most of the night, but I had fun watching her draw pictures of ponies doing timey-wimey stuff in space, and, whenever I could get around her, I had fun talking to her mom about other geek stuff, like Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, and such. I asked Eris if she knew where her name came from, and when she told me she didn't, I explained that it was the name of the goddess of Chaos. I then lol'd when she replied "Yep. That's me! You should see my room; it's a mess."
She also kept asking me to watch her run "faster than Rainbow Dash" around the yard. Of course I indulged her; how could I deny the child that fantasy? xP

Anyway, it was a pretty fun party, and I came home feeling pretty good, full of food and all. It's been a good day. lawl

In other news, I've written summaries of the next three chapters to Fun With a Changeling and just need to fill in the details before they can be published. I've also come up with an idea for another story I may possibly write, but since it's winter-themed, I may save it for the wintertime, maybe around Christmas. This story will feature representatives from every known sapient race in the world of MLP, all coming together in one place to celebrate a special event. It may also possibly feature the Cosmic Owl from Adventure Time, but I haven't yet fully made up my mind about that part. What do you bros think? :b
