    This Week's Chapter

    Hey all,

I don't think that this week's chapter is going to be on time for tomorrow.

A mix of being sick and someone trying to break into my apartment last night have me WAY behind in finishing everything, the rough draft isn't even done yet.

So yeah, by next Sunday you should have two chapters.

Thanks for understanding, I really appreciate it.

Its been a while, hasn't it?

    Hey y'all,

It's been, what? 6 years or so since I last posted anything on this blog or a new story.

Well, things have happened and I wasn't in the best place for a good long while. I think that things are getting better, but who really knows with the world ending and all that.

    I have news.

Books and written stuff. · 12:56am Aug 25th, 2013

Okay, before you read this, keep in mind this:

THESE ARE MY IMPORTANT BOOKS, NOT FAVORITE. Some of these books I would go out of my way to never read again. I may post a list of favorite books later.

Redwall Series - Out of everything here, this may be the single most important series I’ve ever encountered. “Why?” you may ask, because without ‘Redwall’ I would have NEVER gotten into reading. Back when I was in 3rd grade, I was obsessed with books, but not in the reading sense, but in just having them. The bigger, the better. Finally, my parents had enough and said that ‘Redwall’ was the last book that they would buy me until I actually finished reading it. So I grumbled a bit and started it, but I never actually got into it. It was my 3rd grade teacher who really got me into reading simply by having her class color a paper plate with a scene from the book that we just finished and then we got a prize. The competitor in me took one look at this and said that I would have the most paper plates ever. My record of 34 plates, still stands to this day.

Shakespeare - Like him or hate him, he’s important. If you really want to understand how to write dialogue and create characters that actually live and breathe, go read Shakespeare. If you can’t understand him, and even I have trouble with it sometimes as a college graduate with a BA in English, there are ‘No Fear’ versions of Shakespeare. You have no excuses. Go. Now.

Harry Potter - This series further cemented my love of reading and taught me about character development in the long run.

H.P. Lovecraft - The master of true horror. Not the blood and guts horror, but true, mind-fucking, world-ending, bigger-than-the-universe horror. Most of his stuff is in the public domain. Go read. Or, hell, find the audio book; that’s what I did.

Don Quixote - in my opinion, the single greatest piece of literature ever written. Period. My mom read the children’s version to me when I was 8 and I reread the whole thing as a freshman in high school, from that point, I’ve committed myself to reread the whole thing at least once every year. Since 2004, I have yet to miss a year. It only takes about a week to read the whole thing. I don’t know how to describe the power and meaning that this saga has.

The Hobbit - Most people would have listed ‘Lord of the Rings’ here in stead of ‘The Hobbit,’ but honestly, even after reading LotR 3 or 4 times, I find that I got more out of the prequel. Talk about a world that was MUCH bigger than was what shown. LotR has, in my opinion, too much in it for me to really understand it or to even care about some of the character after a point. Not so with ‘The Hobbit.’

Fanfics:
Vox Corporis - Yeah, yeah, this is a Harry Potter fanfic, but this was also the first fanfic to actually have me crying with joy and happiness. Its kind of based in the movie universe instead of the books, and has better character development than books 6-7. Many times, if I’m not thinking clearly, I consider this more canon than the actual books.

My Little Dashie - Hate it, love it, apathetic or whatever, I don’t care. Without this fic, I wouldn’t have actively sought out a MLP fanfic site to really get into. Without MLD, I wouldn’t be here.

Also, please check out my blog about legally free PC games, let me give you guy stuff. Seriously
