To anypony following, "The Land of Twisted Metal."
I'm back. Not that there is anything super special about me coming back from the land of "real life," bringing home a full time job, financial security, and new found vigor for writing pony-fics, but for those who wish for the story to continue i guess it would be kinda...sorta...special. (not really).
But in all seriousness I am happy to say that I can finally write again, and my first challenge upon returning is a big one. This story that I have worked on and let hung dry for the past month and a half, has really been a sort of experiment to me. But now this experiment is ready to move on from the Beta stage and into full fledged product.
What does that mean? It means that I am going to be going through the first six chapters of "The Land of Twisted Metal," and cleaning it up. Hopefully by weeks end, it will be clean enough to submit to the mighty Seth for approval and allowed entrance into the prestigious pony news site: Equestria Daily. Is the story EQD quality? I don't know. But why aim for anything less then the top?
So I'm going to be reworking some parts of the story. The story will pretty much stay the same, but there are some things that I feel I could have done a lot better in revealing certain plot points and character. Some chapters might change a lot, others not so much. The summary of the story is also changing, so keep an eye out for that.
Let me also clarify the crossover aspect of the story. The reason why I said this story was experimental was because this crossover fic, is a multi-universe crossover. (I know I'm not the first person to do this, but bear with me here). The challenge is creating a crossover that doesn't forget it's a pony fic. Some fics out there do this very, VERY well. Like "pony space" for example. (Still can't wait for the next update!). Others...not so much. (not pointing out any names.)
Lastly! On the off chance that ANYONE reads this blog entry. Expect the new chapter to arrive by the end of next week.
