Rustlemania and a Legendary Giant · 7:50pm Aug 18th, 2013
For those who follow the Two Best Friends Play channel on youtube (TheSw1tcher) you already have an idea of what I'm talking about. But for those who hasn't had the chance yet, I reccomend to give them a watch.
Now Rustlemania is a month-long event in which the TBFP crew play a wrestling game each day and post the video of their experience on youtube. Here's the first episode of Rustlemania for your convenience:
I was never a big fan of Wrestling, and I'm still not interested enough to catch a match on Tv.
I much prefer to watch those 3 dudes play wrestling games. Their constant annectodes and commentary about wrestlers (especially dead ones) made me curious about one of its most 'legendary' wrestlers: André René Roussimoff, better known as Andre the Giant.
I will not talk about Andre because my words cannot make him justice so instead I'll leave a 40-min documentary about his life.
Believe it or not this video got to me. You could say it rustled my feels.
The life of Andre and the legacy he left behind made me acknowledge Wrestling as something that deserves respect, despite all the jokes and harsh words it recieves constantly along with the fans.
I know that wrestling nowadays is over-the-top and easy to ridicule with their storylines and general attitude some wrestlers have; heck even South Park made fun of them. But underneath all that, there is semblance of sportmanship and showmanship that Andre help create.
So Wrestling, you may not made a fan out of me but you got my respect.
And because the awesomeness of Andre extended not only to the west but the east as well. I leave you with videos about Hugo (Andore in Final Fight) a fighting game character who was inspired by Andre appearance and moves.
Nobody f**** with Hugo!
In SFXT you can appreciate how massive Andre was compared to other people.
