Compatibility with Characters · 7:43am Aug 9th, 2013
So someone mentioned in one of my PonyHammer 40K stories that some of the characters were out of character, mostly the Main Six. I knew sooner or later that someone was gonna bring that up, and I have my reasons as for why.
Applejack = Tarkus: They both have a few things in common. Both are excelled fighters, strong willed, and honest. (I know that last part was true on multiple levels that make it not count, but it counts for this)
Pinkie Pie = Cyrus: This was a tricky one to figure out. While Pinkie isn't soft spoken or morbid like Cyrus, I did figure out one vital connection: Knowledge. Cyrus knew everything about Tyranids, and Pinkie knew a lot of things about Parasprites. Then as I studied them some more, I found out another thing; they both are stealthy. Cyrus goes incognito and shoots his enemies. Pinkie appears right the hell out of nowhere and surprises her friends sometimes.
Rainbow Dash = Thaddeus: They both fly and they seek the thrill of a challenge. Enough said.
Fluttershy = Elena Derosa: Let's be honest; Fluttershy is not a good fighter. But that does not mean she cannot be a good leader, and what better role than as first Administrator, then Governess.
Twilight Sparkle = Jonah Orion: I already mentioned in one of my past blogs that Unicorns were Psykers and Librarians (and sometimes Inquisitors). Twilight playing the part of Librarian Jonah Orion was already set in stone the moment it occurred to me.
So there you have it. The reasons why the Dawn of War II characters are compatible with the Main Six. If that isn't enough for you, then my only other excuse is the Alternate Universe tag. You're probably asking, "Where is Rarity in all this?" She has not been introduced, yet. Just remain patient. Discord Rising is almost over, and the next story in line will come shortly after.
"Only in death does duty end."
