    Explanation and stuff

Sorry I haven't been able to get more chapters out! I've been really busy with everything, and I've written most of the next chapter out, in which we see RD and Luna, but I haven't typed it out. Oh, and I have to add this-- Sid is the necromancer, but he's not a necroscope. And just so y'all know, I'll probably be separating them and removing some of them, simply because IT'S SO HARD TO WRITE SO

    additional chapter information

I was going to name this chapter intifada, which is Arabic for "waking up from a slumber" but then I realized that most people wouldn't like that, plus it has no relevance to the story. Also, I'd like to ask you all, should I throw in Sid Hammerback or not? My original plan was to throw him in, but I'm not sure I should. If I don't get a response, I'll put him in.

    story thoughts

i know that there aren't going to be too many readers of the story, leastways, that's what i'm fearing. anyway, i'm sure many of you will want to know why i named it 'another casting of the cards' and also why i named my original character 'sam phoenix'. well, i named it that because that's what i felt like. also because it implies a change, and also because sam wants a new chance- one that he

Q:Why'd you call it the bashful bear mine?

A:because it's designed for large animals, such as armored Terrans, bears, and large horses, as well as mutants.

Q: why did Bayleigh turn, and what's sam's connection to her?

A: she turned because she was part of a Sylorian attempt to give their race the C gene, which is basically a generic key. How does Sam know her? Well, he was a spy, and a soldier, and a spy's stock in trade is information. It didn't help that when the Sylorians allied themselves with certain radical Islamic elements, her name was mentioned rather a lot.
---
Q: why are there reference to Thomas? Aren't  Sam and Thomas the same person?

A: not really, because Sam is basically a different person, only with Thomas's memories. Though, on a more philosophical note, if who we are is merely the summary of our memories, then Thomas and Sam are the same person. No, Sam is a better version of Thomas. Thomas is violent, and a bitter and angry individual, prone to sudden shifts in emotion; most importantly, he's a Terran. Sam is a pony, and kinder and gentler version of Thomas. Though he is just as potentially deadly and knowledgable as Thomas, Sam is, simply, a better pony. More accurately, Sam is Thomas's pony form.
